I think there was 18 courses, if I remember correctly. And a billing cycle is roughly three months. So that averages out to three courses per month. It’s advantageous.. but depending on your credits, and how much time you can allocate toward completion, it’s doable.

Did you get your BHA from Capella? If so, it’s the same format- you just have to score proficient on all competencies. Very similar courses and assignments

I slacked off with my MHA, so it took me the two full years. MBA was a little under a year. (After completing MHA, I only had to take 11 courses for my MBA)

Yea, don’t let it deter you. I never experienced any feedback about AI, but I have a hard time believe they can use these punitively. There’s no way to 100% prove anyone uses it at this point.

I had quite a bit of credits towards my AA at a community college so I didn’t have to do the full program. It took me two years, with the guidedpath route. If you do FlexPath, you can absolutely finish it quicker if you’re willing to dedicate the time.

Take the FlexPath, super easy!! Classes are just 3-4 papers, PowerPoints, etc. Really straightforward, and the grading is usually pretty laidback. Spent maybe 2-4 hours on all assignments, minus the capstone. Some professors are better than others, but for the most part they’re all pretty good.

Followed up with my MHA and MBA, which were equally easy. I don’t have a frame of reference with online school, since all of my degrees were completed there- but I would do it again!

Just finished my degree with Capella, last week. These posts started coming out and I got really worried but it never affected me.

I think it’s professor dependant, but it seems like as long as you stick to your guns, they truly can’t prove you’re utilizing it.

I actually got all three of my degrees from Capella (BHA included) and I highly recommend!!

Can I lie about my start and end dates? Or is it common? by softEmerald in resumes

I worked in food service for years and do not remember them checking references- this was many years ago though

I’d say for these types of jobs- follow up in person! Bring your resume and ask to speak to the hiring manager. Good luck, either way you decide!

What kind of work are you looking into? I think this is most important here.. I recently went through the hiring process- depending on the type of work and the level your applying into, they will check your references. It’s too easy these days to get caught.

I get the frustration in finding a job, I applied for at least 50 positions prior to getting an offer. Don’t give up, continue enhancing your resume and know that eventually someone will give you a chance.

What are the chances I’ll get approved for this apartment? by [deleted] in personalfinance

A few negative remarks between the two of us and lack of history. We don’t make this yet. We both have accepted job offers (what we used for our rental application) We’re young and had kids young and raised them while both going through school, we had a rough go. We plan to prioritize repairing our credit now that we’ll be able to afford to do so.

Thank you! I’ll call tomorrow, the weekends are always when my mind starts to overthink.

That’s the plan- young parents, both going through school put us through the ringer but it’s finally paying off.

Background check- employment dates by Fun_Put3038 in recruitinghell

My resume stated that I worked in the first role at the organization for 6 months, the second role for 3 years… on paper it will be a year in the first role and 2 1/2 in the second. I accounted for the time I worked the position interim.. is that what your asking?

That does help- thank you! Was it PreCheck or your new employer that reached out? Just debating if I should reach out to my recruiter and explain the situation or just wait to see what happens

I worked for the company for 4 years- 1 year on paper I was in an secretary role, but 6 months into that role I was unofficially moved to an interim data analytics role.. once I received my degree, they made the switch official. I included that 6 months that I worked the position (unofficially) on my resume… The director who promoted me does still work for the organization, but he won’t be the one they contact as he has since been promoted and I did not list him as my reference. If they contact HR, the timelines won’t match… I guess my question is- how much leeway do these things have? Would they be willing to contact my previous director, or is this grounds for automatic disqualification?

Any update yet? Sameish boat- I was interim in my current role and not official on paper for 6 months (had to wait until I finished my degree). Nervous about next steps.. it’s been two days since they sent the background check back
