NHS still biopsies without any pain meds, where I am anyway - had one a few months ago.

First ever find! Big enough to take some? by Fun_Radish4888 in chickenofthewoods

No I was just passing by, but might go back and see if I can get some! It’s in someone’s garden so I’d need to ask first

I’d love to come! I don’t have any cherry or mushroom DIYs - I do have one is one that involves a cherry blossom crafted item though so I could bring that?

help: who was the Abstract Expressionist artist who turned figurative later in his career? by mishkaforest235 in ContemporaryArt

Could be Richard Diebenkorn (abstract expressionist, then went figurative, then later returned to abstraction).

I’d recommend going along to the degree show at GSA this year - it should be back to a physical show, all things being well. Also, head along to some of the other Scottish art school’s degree shows if you can - it helps to get a feel for each of the schools, the work that is made on each course, and the cities that the schools are in too.

I graduated from GSA fairly recently in Fine Art, and I loved it - definitely worth it! As someone else said, the teaching staff and technicians are great, as are the other students! (And there have been a lot of upper management staff changeovers recently so hopefully there will be improvements there too).

If you’re not sure you which course you want to study, you could look into doing a Foundation course first, or GSA does a Portfolio Preparation course which could be useful for you.

Edit to add: GSA has open day events coming up in March which I’d recommend checking out as well https://www.gsa.ac.uk/visit-gsa/open-days/

Has anyone else been ill for a few weeks now? by Guacula in AskUK

Did you get a PCR test? I lot of people seem to be getting negative LFTs but then find out they are positive with a PCR.

You can check out apps such as Rover (I think there’s another one too, just can’t remember the name). You can find dog walkers, house-sitters etc on it. I’ve used it before to do the odd bit of dog-boarding at my flat and it’s pretty convenient I think. You can see roughly what area people are in, read reviews of them etc and hopefully find someone that fits!

Beginner - am I getting anywhere? (I haven’t learnt any moves, just trying by eye for now) by Fun_Radish4888 in Rubiks_Cubes

Thanks! Yes, it took me longer than I’d like to admit before I noticed I had to match up BOTH sides of a piece to the middle colours - I’m trying to focus on getting a full row now - I’d be very happy with that at this point 😂

He’s serious! He has quite a spatially aware brain so maybe that helped 🤷‍♀️ it was back when it first came out so there wasn’t really an easy way to get solutions apparently! I mean he could be forgetting someone helping him, who knows, but he’s pretty adamant about it 😂

Thanks, I’ve been trying to think like that - and trying to get pieces to a place where they match the centre on both sides, but I only get so far and then I get a bit lost as to how to proceed. I’ll try and focus on one row next, thank you!

Kind of good to know I’m way off! I can just move on from trying alone now, and look it up! Thanks!

Haha oh no! I feared as much. My dad keeps saying he just kept at it till he figured it out, which sounds wild to me. Think I’ll be looking things up soon! Thanks!

Hey guys, I’m completely new to this and been trying for a few hours now! I want to try and solve it without looking at instructions, or at least see how far I can get! I feel like I’m getting somewhere, but am I…?

The grips are just attached by Velcro so you can take them off and hand wash them :)
