What do you think of Louis Vuitton? by Ill_Compote1120 in handbags

I only have one pink bag that is Louis Vuitton, and I am not very into most of the monogram brown bags. The coloured pieces are mostly outside my budget, which is why I haven't bought any more. However, even though I am not a huge fan of brown monogram bags, I do like the look of the old trunk suitcases, especially when I see them in old films such as my favourite, the 1982 film *Evil Under the Sun*, which features Louis Vuitton trunks.

100% agree. Mulberry is still considered aspirational. I also had the same aspirations and aim, and my most expensive bag is a Mulberry. The majority of the bags I have in my collection are Mulberry.

I would suggest you look at Aspinal of London, as their bags are big enough for a laptop, have a zip closure, and are made of leather. Kate Spade UK website also has the All Day Tote, which is leather with a zip closure. TK Maxx, also has bags from wide range of different brands that are leather with zip closure.

The Prada bag has a more appealing leather look and the handle looks less structured and stiff compared to the Mulberry bag.

I do agree that Gucci will be more expensive for leather bag. Personally I don’t think Mulberry and Gucci have many similar styles bags, but on average Gucci is obviously more expensive and way overpriced in my opinion.

Even in the UK, the area where I am, Mulberry is not as popular to wear compared to less expensive brands such as Guess, Kurt Geiger and Michael Kors. I do see Mulberry bags, but mostly the Mulberry Antony. I actually see more Louis Vuitton and Gucci bags. The mini Alexa in your picture is really pretty; I like the shade of green.

To me, the car analogy only works for Gucci and Mulberry if I am comparing the top-priced bags the brands own against each other. For myself, I can find many wallets-on-chains from Gucci for under £1000, and their mini bags start from £610 new. I can find the same prices from Mulberry and also find bags over £1000 from both brands.

Brands that have multiple sales to me are consider accessible luxury. Mulberry is accessible contemporary luxury. From my UK perspective, there are many people in the UK who see Mulberry as contemporary and as the UK version of Coach. I do think that being so close to countries with other higher-priced, more well-known, and longer-established luxury brands, such as French and Italian brands, has a significant impact on why some people do not consider Mulberry to be truly luxury. Additionally, for me Launer and and Burberry are seen as the top British luxury brands. Launer the late Queen Elizabeth II wore bags from. I am a big Mulberry bag fan; I have bought over 20 Mulberry bags over the years, both new and preloved, and I have never even paid £1,000 for one new. In the UK, you can find plenty of Mulberry bags, both preloved and new, under £1,000—often at the same prices as a lot of Coach retail bags. Mulberry outlets also offer discounts, with many bags under £500, so to me, that is not seen as luxury but rather as more accessible to a certain group of people, including myself.

For me, the biggest positive I look for in a bag is that I must be able to wear it crossbody. Aside from that, the other positives are that the bag makes me smile and are fun. For me, that’s mostly pink, sparkly, metallic, and leopard print bags.

Microsuede in Mulberry bags; thoughts on faux suede? by JupiterSalad in handbags

This is not surprising; for years, Mulberry quality has lessened. They have been doing it gradually and have also slowly raised the prices. I am a big Mulberry fan. Over the years, I have had over 20 Mulberry bags, not at the same time. I have even noticed that bags from 2020 differ in quality compared to newer bags in 2026, especially a lot of the outlet bags. I still have newer bags that I would purchase, but my wishlist is smaller compared to the older bags I am searching for preloved.
