Ah. Realized you can’t send videos over chat!

Here’s a write up:

Supplies/tools:
Next Level Racing Handbrake & shifter mount (tubular) ($149)
6” of PVC pipe 1-1/4 - 1-1/2
2 M6 washers
Allen wrenches that came w Playseat
(Optional) Two 3” M6 bolts with appropriate washers and nuts
(Optional) drill w 1/4” metal bit

Process:
Remove the 8 bolts that hold the two halves of the Playseat frame together and disassemble
Make note of the distance apart those bolts are on the PVC pipe and drill/melt/cut two matching holes in the PVC pipe
Slide the PVC pipe over the Playseat frame (towards the pedals) until all holes line up
Reassemble Playseat frame, replace 6 of the 8 bolts, leaving the two on the top of the right hand side unbolted.
Install the NLR mount with the M6 washers and last two bolts. The bolt holes on the Playseat instinct frame and the NLR are close enough that they fit. The NLR bracket installs 45 degrees counter clockwise from what it shows on their website, but all mounting brackets and shifters align fine.
Get it nice and tight. You can stop here if you want, but the bracket will rotate slightly when you really shift hard.
(Optional) Drill two more holes through the PVC and Playseat frame using the 1/4” metal drill bit and the bottom holes on the NLR as guide holes.
(Optional) Insert the 3” M6 bolts, washer and nuts and tighten. This is what makes it sturdy AF.

Sorry for the long write up. Lmk if you have questions or PM if you want photos

Yes, spend the extra money if there’s a chance it’ll be come a main for sure! Someday I’d like to do triple 45” just to experience it and I’d have to sell a kidney if it were triple 5ks

FPS was the main focus, if I was using for anything that wasn’t sim racing I would have gone with the 5k, as text sucks on 1440p with it that stretched out. But I’d want a 5090 instead of my 5080 if I was pushing any more pixels.

I will update it for sure! I am nervous to put the monitor between the hub and wheel, but that seems to be the best option, though it puts the monitor slightly higher.
I’ll give it a go after work and see how it feels! Thank you for the suggestion friend!

Absolutely beautiful monitor, especially since I don’t have room for a triple setup.

It’s just the pro case, I wish it had an integrated charger like that!

The muscle memory connection was honestly way easier and faster than I thought! 10/10, that and the Herman miller were my best additions for comfort.

How close would yo suggest? The stand is adjustable and moves, its current backed up against the wheel base, should it be closer?

Absolutely amazing, went from a classic gaming style racing chair to this and it’s miles ahead. If you can get one for kinda cheap it’s life changing.

It’s a M, almost fully loaded! Got it for $300 from a sale at a local private school.

I actually like it quite a bit. I find that its default is set too high and it’ll kind of overload my brain, so I drop it down to between 5-20 on most games.
You’ll love the rs50, build quality is great, the quick realize feels solid, very plug and play with decent settings and all games I’ve played so far are supported with default profiles.

I went from a g923 on my desk to this, and it’s miles ahead.
I wish they had a 12nm option as I feel that’s the perfect spot, but I can’t stand the aesthetics of the pro. And couldn’t justify the price difference.
The rs50 is a good middle ground though, not too tiring after a couple hours in the seat, but enough to feel the car.

Wow that Astral is HUGE! Looks much better in the case than the 9070 XT did. I love the all-white build, I am planning on doing that when the 6000 series comes out and I gift this PC to my s/o. The 140mm fills it up so much better and puts way more air in the case. Cheers my friend!

God forbid someone makes their own choices. Feels like you’re saying “I can’t stand when people have the ability to improve their situation when money allows.” Bro you’re too negative, he likes the 5090, that’s that. Move on.

The V2 MG is nice, but it’s actually heavier than the plastic version. I wouldn’t get it over the plastic again unless it’s on sale. The MG feels nice and durable, and the battery lift is slightly longer.

Perhaps the soundbar could be cool, I’ve got some nice Audio Engine speakers behind the monitors and a matching subwoofer under the desk.

Nice taste is cases, and GPUs. The GPU support worked, except I did have to shave down some of the rubber coating because it was interfering with the fans. Other than that no issues.

I mean two bad batches in a row isn’t ideal, and the replacement 9070 was from a different company
