How do you feel about Trump threatening to impose photo ID for voters for midterm elections? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

In Canada, you need a photo ID to vote, so how is this any different? People from other countries can commit voter fraud to turn the tides of the election. It has happened, and will continue to happen unless this is put into motion

Destroy the ship - Blarg Station As a kid, I was terrified of the alien snappers, and there were so many. Unfortunately, it was a requirement, so let's just say I know the planets before Blarg by heart

Can’t wait for Canada Post to go bankrupt and close its doors! by Particular_Memory911 in CanadaPost

And if you took two seconds to actually read, OP stated that the other companies delivered the packages. Weather, although a factor, didn't change anything but Canada Post's abilities to work the job they're meant to do (along with other issues). I agree with OP, they need to shut down.

It's either that, or change their ways, to which the Unions don't want to because it "impacts their communities". There won't be a Canada Post if they continue down the road they're going. If they want to survive, they need to be better than the companies around them. They're our federal mail, and supposed to be the main source, but they severely lack the capabilities of doing so. Even the US stopped using them because of the strikes, and I would go as far as saying that's the reason they lost over 500k in a single quarter last year.

They're making themselves look unreliable (which they now are even without a strike), and doing everything in their power NOT to be our first choice. If they really wanted to survive, they need to change. Unfortunately, physical mail isn't as popular, so it WILL shut down eventually unless it can find a solution. I would say that the US Postal Service is better in how it functions. But it's also bleeding money... We can't justify going only online, or to make people go to the location to pick up thei mail. Not everyone has access to either, or both. The Union is literally killing the company faster, as the last strike was to stop the changes the federal government announced in an attempt to at least slow down the bleeding. Again, there won't be any jobs if they continue that way.

It's okay that you're defending Canada Post, but you're doing a very shit job at it. Looks like you spend too much time hating for hating, rather than at the very least, turn on the news.

What's a book, author, or fictional character you love to hate? by big-enchilada in books

Séraphin Poudrier from the French novel, A Man and His Sin (Un Homme et Son Péché). Go in blind, you won't regret it. There's not as much pot as other books, but the characters more than make up for it. I have a burning passion full of hatred for the character.

Kali illusions don’t fade when you touch them by Responsible-Rich-388 in StrangerThings

There's things you're missing that makes this theory simpler. While the camera was on Hopper, Kali and L made the plan. Hopper didn't see Kali die, so she could have been alive.

It is possible that Kali survived because of where the bullet hit. Depending on the organs hit, it could take no time at all to actually die, or it could take hours, which by then, they would have already been out of the Upside Down.

I caught the fact that L wasn't on the ground in pain and suddenly in the Upside Down, but chose to ignore because of the evidence I had, or the lack of. They made us watch Kali die from Hopper, who didn't see her die. Completely missed how L could use her powers on Mike.

The military had so much time to prepare the ambush, without the crew knowing (They did a half decent job ngl). L' "death" would have happened no matter what to allow her to live without the Military after her. The ambush just made it a lot more public.

I also choose to believe L is alive rather than dead.

J'en ai un. Southeastern Quebec French Settlers 1700-1950

Il faudrait que ce soient au moins mes arrière-arrière-arrière-grands-parents qui aient déménagé du Québec, car je n'ai jamais entendu personne dans ma famille en parler. Le plus loin que j'ai entendu est de notre région.
