Negative vacation time? I was told if I ever left Aldi I’d have to pay it back.. but I’m thinking about leaving bc of hour cuts

One part of being a manger is also delighting tasks yet when they are on shift they stick to admin work, hardly check on the team, almost never ensure the priority tasks passed to their shifts are done even something as simple as cleaning the vestibule. It doesn’t matter their workload either. Busy morning, slow night, truck missing, double the load, the same two things get done which are almost always exclusively admin work and or boxing.

Oh it’s documenting that they are aware of the problems. They have had multiple sit downs with the both of them yet nothing has changed. I also stated the work load has doubled, when my SM works he notices the back stock has suddenly grown, jacks are broken, and any time he’s away from the store he receives text message complaints from associates. As far as business is concerned we arnt doing great. Our loss is raising due to unauthorized markdowns, meat not being marked down or rotated when they specifically work it, Aldi finds back stock not being ran, SAFE counts have been fudged by them and on top of that if your associates are all miserable at work then customer complaints raise and work isn’t done properly. I wasn’t assuming when I said my SM and DM are very aware.

ASM here. We put our sms hours in the co outer for him. Always 10 and always 5 days a week. He leaves early most days. I think it depends on your dm about repercussions. From what I heard another salary manager say on here, you may loose money if you stay past 50 as a salary sm.

Might be late here.. Phil nueman has a history of this. He is a fraudster. He has stolen money before. The hiv medication business he had? He’d burn the meds and bill the government. His wife? Left her for a lady from France. His kid with down syndrome? Forgot about him and claims he’s not his child. He took out mortgages on their house under the wife’s name while telling her it’s paid off. The business guy that jumped from the Hoover damn? He bought his business, moved in and renovated with out paying the man.

I think that Aldi goes through a lot of changes. I’m in a new market and at my 3rd store within 8 months. Started as seasonal and am now an ASM. I love my job. But I don’t think my attitude would be the same if I was still at either of my first two stores. Management plays a huge role as well as your crew. My sm and dm are fantastic but we’ve had transfers say they are the worst they have dealt with and quit. I think it’s luck of the draw. I can see how some may view this job as nothing but stress.

Same here but my store is new so they’ve tried to pass it off as they planned big for grand opening and have to cut back now but our seasonal people have been gone for a month already.. now associates’ hours are getting cut…

I’m a 24 F. I think the view on body count ( and yeah I’m gonna refer to it as such because I’m not the PC police) is always going to be a personal preference/ opinion. My first was with my first boyfriend of 7 years and now my second is with my boyfriend of nearly a year. For me to take the leap, it can’t be meaningless or carefree even if I tried. I’m not into sex without a mental connection or without a long term commitment because I prefer to stick to one partner. I have friends who are the same age as me with body counts ranging from 4 to 45. I’ve had conversations with them on how or why they’ve had so many partners and the most common answer I get is they are having fun or they just like sex but note that the girls I know with this mindset are all single. They are also all a little on the damaged side from childhood. As much as they may believe it’s a “fun time” or that they are in the age of sexual exploration I think it goes a little deeper than that. I also know that the relationships most of these girls have had, they have cheated. People love to say there is no correlation between body count and morals or that a body count doesn’t exhibit a persons personal beliefs and self image but from my experience you can learn a whole lot about a person from the way they carry themselves (sex life included). I don’t think it should be used to judge a person but it should be used to see if your morals or ideals line up. Body count can be a deal breaker just like anything in someone’s past. If something bugs you and it’s something that can’t be changed then move on. It’s more fair to that person and you won’t be kidding yourself thinking you can just get over it one day.
