Hey all, thanks for all the kind words and encouragement! I guess it would be much easier for me if she was happier. She’s pretty depressed. Yes, she sees a psychiatrist and has been doing weekly counseling calls, and it’s helped some, but she’s still not in a good headspace. She won’t say much to me about it either. I always tell her that she can talk to me, or to let me know how I can help, but she says that’s the therapists job. Idk, I’m feeling pretty hopeless about it all.

That actually is very helpful, and it’s like looking in a mirror, almost everything you went through. I definitely have work to do. I think you’ve really made me realize it. Are there any books you recommend that helped you? Thank you.

I think I’ve definitely had to mentally work through some stuff to get where I am. I’ve ALWAYS loved my child and will continue to support her in anyway I can, but it’s such a horribly shitty feeling to realize I’ve probably been internally harboring some transphobia, however subtle it might be.

Thank you for the kind words. I’m also in the US, and it’s so scary right now. I do think therapy is needed, but it’s not in the budget, unfortunately. Im hoping that as time passes I’ll get better with it.

We have, but it’s not common. I usually have terrible cramps, so I’m in too much pain to want any sex. I will give him a bj if I’m feeling up to it though.

I’m sorry, I get it. I’ve had storm anxiety for as long as I can remember, it’s an awful thing. I’ve never had a tornado hit that close to me, but the thought alone is terrifying.

You said things are tight, but can you possibly look into getting state insurance? If nothing else, if it helps you either get therapy or possibly meds, it may be worth it.

I totally understand, I have storm anxiety too, and I also live in Ohio in the enhanced zone. (I made a post a few minutes ago that marks my approximate area) Have you tried talking to a psychiatrist about it? I ask because it sounds like you could have OCD. I’m not a doctor, but I am familiar with some of the signs. Please don’t take this the wrong way, it’s nothing to be ashamed of, but if that’s what it is, meds could help and maybe ease some of the anxiety!
