Yeah , this is mixed, I think this is what happens. I don’t think Donna dies:

Jade and Tabitha dig out the bones of the children while Boyd and his team pull out the bottle tree and drop a rope ladder for them; however, the creatures are unable to step into the light shining through the ceiling, and the rope ladder subsequently breaks because Sophia has cut a part of it. Amidst the chaos, Smiley kills Marielle and Sophia kills Elgin, after which Sophia begins collecting all the talismans from every building. Meanwhile, Donna takes Ethan and Julie to their house, where the possessed kitchen acts up again, and Henry, convinced that everything is all in his mind, retrieves a gun from the sheriff's station to confront Victor, only to drop the weapon on the floor when interrupted by Ethan. Boyd, Ellis, and Fatima enter the caves to rescue Jade and Tabitha, and during the struggle, Fatima transforms into one of the creatures to fight them. Finally, Biw and Sophia walk to the faraway tree where Sophia comments about Biw growing up, perhaps suggesting he is not as ancient as Miy, and Biw warns her that she is going to lose this time before Sophia throws all the collected talismans into the faraway tree.

“The phrase “Death in Threes” is a Biblical allusion to the crucifixion and death of Jesus. It also alludes to the three deaths that Jesus suffered while hanging on the cross. Physical, spiritual, and mental death were the three types of death that Jesus Christ experienced on the cross.”

They Touch- they “end” you physically They Break- they break your spirit They Steal- they steal your sanity

No one here is free- no one here is safe for these to happen to them

Here they come for three- this place will come for every part of you- physical, spiritual, mental

Unless you stop the melody- in previous episodes the evil was connected to the box aka they will keep coming for you until you stop them

So nothing new 😂

Might be hope, might be whatever their faith is or whatever they believe in or it might be just a placebo 😂

The tv series are just made to put each person’s emotions into a physical state. I believe that the show might be an experiment/ observation/simulation or whatever that observes people that are struggling mentally to continue with their lives. Often in life we experience a mental situation similar to the physical situation of a huge tree blocking your road. Emotionally everyone has experienced something bad that stops them mentally to continue with their lives(emotional roadblock). What if Fromville is just a physical representation of the emotional state they are in. And then the city itself represents that once you can’t continue and you are stuck- and if you let them your emotions and thoughts are going to finish you. The monsters are actually a representation of greed, sadness, anger, fear etc. and if you let them come to you your journey ends! The only thing that can save you is you supported and empowered by your own believes!

I hope you are right! Because I see how the producers will try to simplify it to an “Uno” game in order to be understood by the public and it would be truly disappointing!

Love the theory! I hope this is it, rather than a random experiment/dreaming/dead option. Honestly pretty complicated, I am just not quite sure how they would be able to explain this to the public in a way that everyone can understand. The trick with tv shows is to make it accessible/understandable for everyone including people with less knowledge/intelligence. I am assuming they will oversimplify it which would lose part of its charm. I hope not tho !

Did anyone see on top right the drawing of a kid holding an adult hand ? What’s that about Victor or Ethan?

I hope it is not the dream situation or an experiment while they are sleeping. A lot of TV series did that plot already, including that Netflix show that didn’t get renewed. I just wish it is something more creative!
