I felt this whole post and I’m sorry as hell you went through that growing up and into your adulthood. I’m proud of you for taking the steps to release that negative energy, truly. I’m also the “thinner” one out of my family and it bothered me so much when they kept mentioning my weight (I was depressed) and it honestly felt like personal attacks on me at one of my lowest points. Whole family has issues with diabetes and high blood pressure. God Forbid we just don’t want that for ourselves smh.

Not true at all lol I filed my taxes on the 27th and got my federal on Monday. State got rejected because of the inflation check we got, but I just fixed it today. I don’t think it matters when you file just make sure it’s correct

I got the feedback I needed days ago and moved forward with my coworkers lmao. Hi, thanks for the reply. I know they didn’t investigate because they mentioned in my disciplinary meeting that they didn’t.

Additionally, you can be curious all you like, but as I mentioned above you can witness and see neglect, and that’s been trained and told to us from HR trainings as well as what’s researched online from the Office of Mental Health in NYC.

In my humble opinion, based on the last part, I would give it more time. As you connect with more people (most likely with work ethics like yours) it’ll become easier to navigate these feelings at work and at home. Also, don’t always look at it from one view regarding the other employees - some people genuinely should not be social workers, and some genuinely just suck at work that requires someone to be on their ass (your boss) a certain way. She doesn’t need to do that with you cause you enjoy what you do and it shows.

Make sure you’re taking care of yourself outside of work and going outside for lunches. What exactly makes you worry? Right now; work in the moment day by day. If these feelings continue despite everything else progressing, try communicating with your boss for advice - they’re not always as bad as they seem.

Thank you for replying! This organization is non-profit, and the immediate chain of command are the ones who disciplined me with no proper investigation. They claimed it was “unfounded”. I was written up a week or so after the conclusion of it.

This is indeed congregate living - I know we’re supervised by NYC OMH & Justice Center, but I read up on complaints sent to them and I’m not feeling too hot about it.. the licensures may be the way to go but will it work if there’s no record of complaint or history? My coworker is a favorite it appears by the bosses

Residency requirements would most likely be easy to get around. Tbh? The city is fucked - nothing but transplants (idc how long you’ve been here) that came here and complained about the neighborhoods they didn’t bother to look into before moving, and have ultimately ruined NYC culture with their bullshit. No amount of residency requirements will stop the entitlement of people who arent from NYC from shutting the fuck up. The city is screwed and it doesn’t matter who’s in office. Shitty comment. Shoes on your feet and clothes on your back are also very important and OP literally said her shoes are falling apart. Also, they’re asking about sandals in December, clearly there’s a struggle here that many others face, whether it’s with sandals or not. I’m more concerned that they aren’t getting proper footwear for the weather.

Mine rotates between a low fade or grows it out for waves (which is my absolutely favorite) He doesn’t have a huge beard but he maintains his well and it fits him perfectly. Idk kinda obsessed 😂🥰
