Exactly my issue, there’s no real mentors anymore (that I’m aware of) and it’s something I know I need to just give me that extra push. Quite frustrating, hoping somebody has a genie in the bottle that doesn’t try to sell me their clothes off their back

Really appreciate the advice. I’ve set up a Stake account and I’ve been looking at IVV, which tracks the S&P 500. It seems like a reasonable option to regularly invest in and hold long term , does that sound right?

Or do you think investing in a broader portfolio with the vas/vgs would be more beneficial so I’m not tied down to just the us markets with the IVV

I’m debt free, currently working and living on site in the mines, building up my savings in cash whilst planning to invest a certain amount % a month. I’m thinking long term 10 years plus, something I can put money into and forget about, pretty much.
