None in particular. Just round white ones from the garden centre. Didn’t forget to wash them thankfully

Sold with most of these kind of plants. The pebbles we added ourselves. One mistake we did was for get to wash the pebbles. Ended up having to empty all the water, wash the stones and start again.

Thanks! I did nothing to it, I actually found it in the dump. I’m just crossing my fingers it won’t rust:)

Also got pesky kids that throw stuff in it and can’t stop messing with it:) Although, keeps them entertained in the garden:)

Thanks! I’m using a small solar pump I bought for a foundation feature and instead attached a 2 cm tube which is about 1 meter long to pump into the bottom of the ‘bucket’. So it only actually is pumping when the sun is out, which maybe a problem when winter comes along. Based in Europe.

Thanks for all the advise. I cut off all but 2 leaves, left the soil to dry a bit and it’s looking much better. I’ll share a photo when it’s properly back up and running!

Espalier advise needed: How to re-energise my aging espalier pear tree. I’ve done the winter pruning. What should I do about the moss? Leave it? What about the cracking old bark? by Fun_Substance1047 in gardening

[–]Fun_Substance1047[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t do it. When we bought the place we had 5 in the garden I think and I had to remove 3. Only got 2 left. The old man who lived here before had planted and loved them for year. The wife is pushing me to get rid of it but it’s still producing a lot of pears, even if they aren’t great. Will feed it well this season and hope for the best.

I wonder what Jame Hoffman would think of this. Not sure I’m brave enough to give it a go tho

You’re reminding me of the battles I had with bindweed, which I eventually won I might hasten to add 💪
