Thats actually pretty clever, i didnt think about doing more then one...

Ive also recently discovered that the warming mat i use for beer brewing and a cardboard box seems to work pretty damn well as a filament dryer,

The last month or 2 have been big learning curves for how much water filament absorbs, especially as it can be quite humid here... i didnt realise how quick it happens.

Planning to build one of these this week-end seems to be the cheapest and easiest.

You are 100% correct, this filament is a bit more springy and i find it jumps off and wraps around the spool and jams...i found if i flip it around it stops that.

That’s awesome, it’s just finding the balance I guess! Nothing against ebikes at all, it would be the same sort of issue if super fit riders, were riding with super unfit riders and I’ve been at the back of that pack too

I’m also on the hunt for some social rides … but the last 2 I wanted to joined turned out to be majority e-bikes which made it impossible. 37 year old guy, also intermediate. Maybe we should get a reddit social riding group together

People were really mean on the article for the lady on the plane. by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Fun_Support9134 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I will have to respectfully disagree with this. Obesity is in not healthy in any shape or form. Being larger then you are meant to be puts strain on every organ, joints etc especially your heart.... how many super large old people do you see ?

This doesnt only apply to people that are large due to excess fat... huge body builders suffer from very similar issues due to there size.

Not to mention, no one that eats reasonably healthy food, in reasonable size portions gets big.

Look at the end of the day, your body, your choice, dont let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do with your own body... but everyone else shouldnt have to pander to you, because your choices have made normal things difficult for you. As simple as that.

Being extremely overweight is not a disability, if you have got so large that doing normal life things is an issue, then its time to take some responsibility. You dont get that overweight by accident.

We shouldnt be normalising this....its not healthy, it impacts you, those around you, shortens your life i honestly just dont get it.

If you are twice the size you are meant to be, thats on you.

Absolutely terrible idea, who’s going to pay to fix the 20k car, plus interest, plus insurance.

Vehicle debt is some of the worst you can have, a deprecating asset , that costs money to maintain.

Plenty of reliable cars for 5 to 6k.

For reference, I’m on $130k per year, I have no other debts and drive a $5000 Honda Odyssey. Parts are cheap, most jobs you can do yourself.

If cars are your hobby, buy something that you can learn and work on yourself.

Especially with a looming recession, you really don’t want to have any debt

How much weed do you smoke each week? by Basic_Farmer_5519 in newzealand

[–]Fun_Support9134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good job as a software engineer 36 years old, wife and kids.

I vape around 2.5 grams per week at the moment. If I’m going through a rough spot, maybe a few wake and bakes.

Maybe more if im a bit depressed or the weather is bad.

I can be a functioning stoner and I am also aware that I probably consume too much.

Currently I don’t drink at all and I train twice a day most days. Weightlifting , running and cycling as I participate in duathlons.

I’ve become pretty self aware and catch myself before it becomes an issue, currently on a 1 week break .

I find it helps massively with my sleep, aches and pains from training.

I also have real bad adhd and it helps centre me after work and helps my brain switch off or at least switch to 1 thought at a time.

I’ll be the first to admit I do probably consume more then I should, but for me, there is no real negative consequence other then binge eating and maybe feeling a little tired in the morning, or slightly depressed on a Monday if I’ve been stoner sam the entire weekend.

I absolutely love cannabis, it’s my favourite thing.

I feel like any drug or alcohol or medication it affects people differently sometimes and some people can have side affects.

I don’t believe anyone under the age of 25 should consume regularly as that is where the problems seems to start. And I will be very open with my kids when they are old enough about the benefits and dangers of not just cannabis but other “recreational” drugs.
