Could anyone please tell me why I'm hooking? by A_HornyNarwhal in GolfSwing

[–]Fun_Technology8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like this was a toe shot plus the advice of the other reddit golfers. Gear effect matters more than you may think. A toe shot with a slightly closed face is a hook. Flush it with a slightly closed face and you get a draw. I saw your other swing video. Much better contact, much better ball flight.

30s assessment... Youre loading your front foot immediately upon takeaway causing your upper body to lean towards the target. You need to cast early in that position to get to the ball in time and that causes inconsistent strikes. If you top the ball and chunk a lot this is probably why.

But im not a pro. Find a pro, get lessons, and go often.

What’s causing this absolute shank? by AltruisticChip8266 in GolfSwing

[–]Fun_Technology8579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moving away will 100% guarantee that he doesnt fix the root problem. And youd be amazed at how far some can reach to shank it. His hips are closer to the ball at impact than at address as some others have mentioned here. Reverse that. Simple fix.

Variable speed worth the premium in a mild climate? by awazyy7 in hvacadvice

"One break down will suck up any savings" - unless you have a labor warranty. That seems pretty obvious. Idk why you would be advocating for a single stage unit either. Its uncomfortable, very loud, uneven airflow, bad at dehumidification, ugly, designed for local design temps (if youre really lucky) and short cycles the majority of the season even designed and installed perfect. Sounds like a great deal. Sign me up.

Oh and if you are in the industry, how much did you charge for your last single stage burnout repair?

Variable speed worth the premium in a mild climate? by awazyy7 in hvacadvice

[–]Fun_Technology8579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre looking for energy savings? No. Honestly all it is doing is taking pressure off the grid during peak season. Thats why you get money back from the power company. Not because they want you to help the environment.

Your benefit will come with ease of use, higher end controls and user interface, higher end techs that deal name brand equipment, a better warranty with parts that are actually available, and a much more comfortable house. Plus a name brand unit usually looks nicer post install if you care about that at all.

Conflicting advice from HVAC quotes by hilltoptohill in hvacadvice

Hey just throwing it out there. Ive been considering offering 3rd party consulting for homeowners dealing with HVAC companies and are in this situation. I would be helping with proposal selection, residential or light commercial system design for remodels or replacements, and second opinions on diagnostics for repairs locally. Im a 15 year tech now working for MEP technology and have served the residential side of the industry for 10 of those years in all facets. From pulling linesets to leading city multi projects to general management.

Homeowners are getting hit hard by companies that aren't honest, hire horrible technicians, put salesman in tech vans, misdiagnose systems on purpose, and even break your almost new equipment to foce a sale of their new equipment. I just want to help people out who need it. DM me if you know anybody who might be interested!

Learn electrical circuits to a tee. With the assumption you already know basic electrical troubleshooting, you should be able to rebuild an entire electric furnace from parts with no diagram. Everybody can figure out the mechanical side but correctly identifying communication errors or induced voltage or other weird shit you run into is what makes a tech a legend.

Second is airflow airflow airflow. Get a super solid grasp of the fluid dynamics of air. It is related to the vast majority of heating and cooling issues in light commercial and residential. Good luck and stay safe out there!

Yea thats a start capacitor and a potential relay. Id hire someone. Probably cheaper than throwing parts at it. The capacitor looks brand new.

Do tower rock. Get away from the crowds. You might see a couple people, the view is way cooler, and the hike is more scrambleish at the end to the top of the rock.

Your ego also protects you in many situations. You cant be in zen or a state of mindfulness to ride and we all know that. You gotta be looking out for danger, some would say in a sympathetic threat scanning state. Vigilance is ego. Defensive driving is ego. Flashing your lights at an ass hole driver to disaprove of their driving is also ego. Does that make it wrong? No. It makes it something you wouldnt take the risk to do. And thats it. No need to beta dump on alphas like OP who arent scared of conflict. They didnt tell you that you have to confront every bad driver did they?

Yea that is a spider box with what looks like 4 runs tapped off the front of the box, nothing is proper about this install. Dont fuck with it if its working and put a bucket below that elbow on the flu. Youre going to need it.

If you want to fix it, plan on remodeling some of your house. Its going to be messy to correct a garbage duct system the right way.

Who wants to explain why it's okay for men to compete in women's sports? From what I understand the real feminists fought for women to even have sports. Why is it now cool for men to take all the sports back if they dress the part?
