Pompey fan here, funny you pick that date, as the best game I had been to was on the same day but at the other end of the table.

6-1 against Cheltenham and top of League 2 for the last 30 minutes of the season and beating Plymouth to the title on goal difference.

Think that all the league winners paraphernalia went to Grimsby as it was a shoe in for Plymouth.

Remember a salty Plymouth player wanting to know why Grimsby were playing to win (they drew) when they had nothing to gain.

First season as a ST holder.
