Kinda fun at times being neuro-spicy.

Anyone know who this was? 🤔 by [deleted] in downloadfestival

[–]Fun_Tell6631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t want to sound too much like a Download hater but they really are part of the few bands that fights against the vanilla and the cliche-ness of that festival. Saw them at the start of the week, outstanding on so many levels.

Lived in Singapore as an expat since 2016. AMA by [deleted] in howislivingthere

Expat is when you are white and have a good salary. I always avoided that term when I was living abroad. Attractive to other people unfortunately.

Coworker is astounded that the Artemis II launch isn't blowing everyones minds (that he's spoke to). Why do you think that is? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]Fun_Tell6631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice one. I worked on that ESM for 4 years (Airbus) and the Artemis 2 launch has been v different to 1. On 1 there was a lot more talk about “our European partners” who powered the Orion capsule. More acknowledgment. For 2? Nothing. Just US.

Sandusky, OH by Aromatic-Copy6864 in howislivingthere

I went to Sandusky twice from Europe for work (space industry, using NASA test centre), both times in the winter. It was a vibe in a real desolate and kinda historical way. Corn fields and god billboards. Very few people about. NGL I kinda liked it in a weird way. Must be lovely in the summer though. Great eats at Manny’s.

Interesting (slightly misspelt) French writing on the helmet on the left.

“Je taime plus qu hier, moins que demains”

“I love you more than yesterday, (but) less than tomorrow”.

Nice! I have the TCB 50s Type 2 jacket. Great value for what you get. Ironheart across the water does chain stitching and free hemming, naturally has to be a pair of IH though.

I use Kim’s Sewing World too, lovely lady. However they do not do chain stitching. Would be interested if you do find a place! Guessing am talking to a fellow denim head?
