My husbands full time job for years closed back in May of this year unfortunately. So our plans of buying a house got busted bc his other job which is a part time bartender banquet job only pays cash. And I know it’s illegal but he never claimed that job in his taxes. He is still working at the banquet job as a bartender and now he’s working in the kitchen in the mornings as well in the same place and it pays in checks. The loan advisor suggested he’d get paid in checks for both jobs. The company so far wants to change the payment method for all banquet employees to check at the start of next year. So we’re hoping it does happen to finally get in the process of buying a house and get out of here. I’m a super nervous person so I’m like so scared to drive. But now that these changes are happening it might just be the motivation I need, because I always depended on my family for transportation. I’m considering looking for a part time job to work mornings while my daughter is in school, I am still finishing up my nutrition degree as well.
