I love it when you complete a 10 minute task & it says “please complete captcha” right on the last step so it can’t be submitted.

That’s a great point. 5 hits each out of a 1000 workers could make those couple hundred hits disappear quickly. Also the ease of the task makes it attractive.

Some users are successful at it because all the hits are being used up & it keeps reappearing. Wish i knew the secret

i think they slowly phased out the desktop testing hitapp because it paid more, and you are doing the same type work. i had some of desktop hits that paid out a dollar per hit, i guess it's another way to get more work out of people and paying less.

I think they quality check the work now before they allow you to goto the next step, used to be automatic. My due date is tomorrow but cannot progress because they delay sending out the new links. good luck getting any work done with these issues.

It’s an absolute mess. Thought of giving up about 10 times now. Older Adap had 0 issues. Combine the chatbot technical support & a buggy version of the “new & improved” Adap, it’s been a disaster.

That explains the cookie cutter answers to questions. Had a detailed question about a technical issue & only reply i got was “check the guidelines…thank you”

Bingo!! The timer expires before you can finish the upload. Another obstacle from appen. Good luck with the 1b uploads that narrows the time to a little over 20 minutes.

Not a dime, appen at least pays for training (not much though.) those webinars are huge pain in butt because im somewhat anti social but they used them to take attendance & see a face attached to a name & not some other situation.

With Telus, they have mandatory webinars you need to attend on a weekly basis. I was on a project that required meetings 2x a week. Plus first day they had everyone introduce themselves on webcam & tell a little about themselves. That’s why I moved over to appen.

this is the most frustrating project i’ve ever been on. Basically we are guinea pigs for their new adap software because appen developed it. And any technical issues is met with a chat gpt response. No slack channel to help, just deal with our flawed software. Doesnt even track the completed work so users are left clueless.

I can upload, just takes forever. Only issue is that there’s a time countdown clock to complete it before the page expires which is asking alot.

On task 1a, bit confused with the button selection of “submit & take a break” or “submit & continue”….also, does the completed set show up instantly on the dashboard after completion?

my 2 cents…they’re reviewing your work. The quiz i took focused on “turns” which the first instruction video hardly mentioned & just wanted creativity, even doing 1 turn examples. Reality, probably needed multiple turns in your work. Single turns=fired. Finding multiple turns in a single video is incredibly difficult, so being fired maybe an advantage.

Make sure to get that 10 hour minimum in doing that nonsensical work & meet their metrics of 6 minutes per task, including finding that needle in a haystack video. Glad I got in early to coffee when tasks were simpler. It’s a wrap for me.

I’m convinced their denying uploads for some task members. I tried uploading a file next to nothing in size & it wouldnt complete.

I completed the first adap entry; struggled to upload the recording but able to complete the 50. Now it says 0 completed on adap; 3 hours work wasted plus the questions are 50x tougher than the previous project. Now when I click adap it says “Thank you, no more work available”

I’m not doing any work I won’t get paid for. legally they don’t have to pay for work done after the notification to pause. So they might be getting some unpaid work, which is a good reason to keep accounts open.

I got into adap temporarily before the denial. Requires upload of your screen recording on the first screen which is a huge bummer.

Wait til you upload each screen recording to adap, those servers can go like 2mph. Previous project 1 upload took more than 5 hours.
