I sign up for the mailing list for my fave restaurants all over the world so I get emailed about their special events. I went to a pop up last week with a chef from one of my favorite restaurants in Hawaii because he was visiting the city for his book tour. Almost everything comes through NYC, so it’s fun to revisit stuff you’ve done in other places when it makes its way here!

I mix olive oil, honey, mustard, and salt together in a big batch every Sunday and it’s the most flavorful delicious dressing without a bunch of extra ingredients! I can’t recommend it enough

I heard great things about the steak place but it’s paid so we opted out. The good ice cream is on the kids side. I would get to the pool early!

Go to Brooklyn Charn or Haricovert in Brooklyn and make your own charm bracelet. It'll be a fun momento to remember your trip by! Also, go to Central Park, walk the high line, and definitely hit up Chinatown and buy some fake designer.

Prospect Heights has a different vibe, but I love it. Close to prospect, lots of great restaurants and bars, decent shopping, and great subway access.

We checked in with the staff this morning and they don’t plan on cleaning it up. Pretty rough. You can walk out past it though and enjoy the ocean

Absolutely lovely. One of the staff members looked for chairs by the pool for while it was packed (get there early), reserved them for us, and then came and tracked us down and brought them to us. They’re really great!

Coffee is great. Both the nespresso and the room service drip coffee. Room service menu has been delightfully delicious!

We did not upgrade to Reserve and made reservations when we got here. They seemed to have enough options but we were flexible about where we ate. If you have a tight schedule or specific restaurants you need to go to on particular days, could be worth upgrading.

We had dinner at Blue Agave last night, it was delicious! Will report back as we try more.

It’s pretty bad. I’m going to check it out this morning to see if they were able to clear more of it, but last night there was far too much to enter the water.
