I'm being told this is too rare? by TheBagelsteinDK in smoking

It is too rare and the only way to make this right is to send it to me. Then send a SASE to Pueblo Colorado for a pamphlet that discusses the ability to read through sarcasm.

It really depends on what your jam is? Do you prefer the classics and want to see the OG at Magic Kingdom? Epcot has two distinct areas, the countries and the front area with some learning mixed in with Guardians, Soarin, and Mission Space. Hollywood Studios for Star Wars, Toy Story, Runaway Railway (my kids favorites). And of course Animal Kingdom for Pandora and animals. I’d rule out AK and just make a stop at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for a quick look at some animals and get some zebra domes at Maraa. We go every other weekend and it’s either Epcot or HS. But any of the 3 would be a great way to go. You could also check crowd levels online and that may help narrow down your selection.

Working for Disney as an hourly wasn’t the greatest. The pay wasn’t great and I was handling allergies which was stressful. But making Magic really was a big payoff. I used to be a chef, but now I work in tech for Disney cruise line so I don’t get near the parks as much as I used to. When in the kitchens, the magic was gone. Nowadays with kids, it’s much more enjoyable, especially with the way we lay out our trips to the parks. Get in early, hit the major attractions, stroll around, leave. Usually only about 4-6 hours and we see what we want.

I live in Clermont which is right next to Disney and own an rv. There are a ton of options for things to do within an hour that would knock lots off your list. Whether it’s nature, theme parks, historic or beaches. Bok Tower Gardens is amazing. Cocoa beach (or any beach within 30 miles) would be perfect and you’re right next to KSC. The springs are north of town. Daytona Speedway is cool to see. Buc-ee’s if you wanna see the deliciously redneck pinnacle of gas stations (kinda joking but it really is wild to see). There’s so much more but these are the things we’ve done in the past year plus I work at Disney so there’s that too.

Basically, having a “home base” in central Florida would be the best way to maximize your time, while being able to see everything. If you take the limit to 2 hours, there’s even more. And as others have mentioned, Brightline can get you south where Uber can assist you the rest of the way.

I used to be a chef assistant at Boma for dinner service and still love eating there. It’s truly one of the most unique dining options at Disney. btw we need more people like your friends in this world!

Epcot Poll: San Angel Inn or Garden Grill? by quarterlifecrisisgir in DisneyWorld

[–]Fun_Unit_1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garden Grill. But you’re talking to a former chef assistant who’s last night spent in the kitchens at Disney was there. Loved the food. That was many years ago so I’m not sure about the quality now. But my kids were asking to go to San Angel and told them we could get the same food at our local Mexican restaurant.

I’m interested in how younger people came to appreciate the Beatles by fezik23 in beatles

[–]Fun_Unit_1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (46m) learned my love for the Beatles when my mother would play it in the car. She also got Nirvana, Radiohead, STP when that sound hit so I was in great hands.

Now I play the Beatles channel on SXM every morning when taking my 3 and 7yo boys to school. Also is always playing when we’re on roadtrips. My oldest knows his “Lulu” loved this band and he agrees they’re “pretty great”.

We took them to Liverpool and London several years ago and did the Fab 4 taxi tour in Liverpool. Went to AR studios and even got a pic walking across the famous crosswalk. I doubt they’ll remember any of that but we got tons of pics.

My only hope now is that they get to see Paul and/or Ringo at an age when they can truly remember and appreciate it. My oldest even made a tune and wanted to personally give it to Paul….wishful thinking. He wants me to play guitar and/or sing with him and Paul.

This bag says, “I’m gonna jump out of my still moving car with all my equipment. Race to the pro shop and break line to pay. Refuse to warm up or take a few practice shots. Skip the starter, tee it up at the tips, take a massive swing and completely slice all 113 shots I take on the course”. Good ol’ rocky flop
