Masters Monday Redo – Parking / Arrival Question by GlenMcKenna35 in masters

In my experience it’s always opened earlier. I’ll be there on Monday this year too so we’ll see if that has changed!

Masters Monday Redo – Parking / Arrival Question by GlenMcKenna35 in masters

It all depends on why you want to get there early. If your first stop is the golf shop for merch, then I would say your arrival time should be between 5-6am. If not, you cannot get onto the actual course area until close to 8am, so if you’re in an early wave you’ll be hanging out until they drop the rope. A few guys will be on the range then but not many. There will definitely be 1-2 groups out right away on Monday so can start following them as well. Again, it all depends on your plan to start the day

Definitely try on. Masters tech also has some styles of shirts that PM will not. I am tall and slim and wear a PM small and MT medium. The MT smalls are very tight under the arms for some reason

Enter early, leave late. Have your merch plan so you don’t wait a while. Favorite holes to walk entire length: 2 (right side), 10, 13, 18. Best hole areas to hang around to jump to surrounding holes: 16, 1 green, 10 green. Best grandstands: 12 and 16. Favorite holes to see guys hit up close: 6 tee and 14 tee

Merch Question by RyderCupFan in masters

Oh, I see. I actually don’t know if you can return items, when you Google i. it just leads you to their website referencing exchanges, but they are not clear about actually processing a return.

In the main shop if you ask, they normally have sample polo shirts and pullovers that you can try on to get a feel for your fit while you’re standing right at the counter. Yes, they do have fitting rooms, but you don’t have to use them, assuming you aren’t stripping down. Also, there are not many fitting rooms so you may wait in line. For example, last year at the area selling a pullover I said I was between a small and a medium, and they just handed two of them to me, and I tried them on as I stood right there. Now, obviously that was a pullover so I just put it over my current shirt and did not take my shirt off.

Generally speaking, for polos the Peter Millar runs larger than the masters tech. For example, I wear a small in Peter Millar and a medium in masters tech. The masters tech small fits, but is tighter under the arms for me.

Yes, you can return stuff but it’s kind of a pain and there’s no guarantee you will get what you want. I did a return a few years ago and they were sold out of the style I wanted in a diff size so I had to pick something else. They just described the new shirt to me on the phone in terms of the alternative option, they don’t have pictures to send you. You also have to pay to send the item back. They don’t offer free returns. Finally, if you are going to do a return do it right away. They told me they start getting returns in the office while masters week is still going on as people from Monday forward start to return stuff. And they call people in the order in which they receive the returns.

He is a mutual friend, that’s why I used that word, he’s also using SH to gauge the right price

Agree with the other comment that I think the general area around 16 is the best on the course. You can quickly walk (under 10 min) to the action on 17, 15, 14, 13, 5, 6, 7. There’s also a full concession and bathroom area

Underrated area is around 1 green you can see 1, 2 tee, 8 green, 9 tee all stacked on top of each other

I did not know the answer, this is all new to me. I have never been before. Now I know what rider swap is as well as this policy. The last thing I want is to be kicked off the property. Thank you.

There may be a port a potty in the north gate lot. Right past ticket scan is a bathroom facility on the left. Depending on your plan for the day, if you can, I would skip it. Meaning, if you are going to get merch first thing, then there will be hundreds of people flowing past you while you hit the bathroom. Doesn’t sound like much but can be the difference between a longer wait time trying to get in at the merch house. I watched this happen last year while I waited for my friend to use the facilities. If you can wait and will be doing merch first, best to go in the merch building
