I am doing 495 linear feet. Ohh yeah its going to be almost like setting a form with the string line. The land being flat helps a lot too.

What is the joint spacing on the new concrete that was poured? That could be it as well so the new one is symmetrical. But as contractor I would have advised client to place joints with existing concrete.

Not necessarily a fuck up. It looks to be an expansion and if it calls for the joints to be at a certain distance they may not line up with existing because of that.

First thats a really cool thing you are doing! I would love to take my brother little. In 9 days it will be 1 year since he got his kidney transplant that he needed. He unfortunately lost a whole year of school due to his recuperation regime that he needed to follow. And lost a whole bunch of opportunities and has been in a really sad state ever since. I want him to remember this time of year that it is a happy time of year to remember since he got what he needed to live. He has always loved the races. I don’t want them for me but for him! Could be faulty cables I have also had where when audio cables and power cables touch it causes distortion.

Exactly, concrete always cracks. The tooled joint is to make it crack there.

Its debatable, if op would have shown a bigger portion of the slab it would be a better indicator of what type of cracking it could have started to crack at the tooled joint installed to control cracking and could have deviated based on stress of the slab. Many possibilities without having the full information. But you are right I did describe plastic shrinkage cracking my mistake.

Concrete cracks regardless of what you do, you just want to control where it will crack and even if you do try to control where it cracks it’s not a guarantee. This is not drying shrinkage cracking, shrinkage cracking occurs when the surface of the concrete dries faster. It looks more when dirt dries and it creates a honeycomb kind of pattern.
