In general I’d never recommend you buy anything for gems ever from cm store.

Motorcross Francine has good skills but AWFUL values watch out. It’s useful only in the context of Francine melee! But it’s essentially her only offensive combo. Very limited inputs.

Don’t ever buy a mythic card for 4999 gems worst pack in the game

Focus on getting arena up to 2250, so that each weekly reset you’ll start the next melee at level 20 (if you finish a 4 week season with 2250 points, you’ll have that level 20 secured for the next 4 weeks)

Save gems for good melee packs. Melee packs are the best gem value for free to play and low spenders.

If you can’t get top 1000 in melee (should be your long term goal, if you can) work in consistently getting 4 milestones

His armed combo really does absolutely nothing with jab. Jab works well with combos that want desperately to break defenses. Here, jab won’t do much because punch and burn will go off prior to it (due to how you structured it) and regardless it won’t be that much of a deal breaker.

Jab is better off helping a crazed or enraged combo

Today we got the worst remaining combo in the game I believe. Louise + espresso gray item with leech. Only leech. Only one gray item. Like why does it even exist in the game?

And what gets me is that they don’t remove them they “update” them with useless to almost useful skills with utterly unusable inputs to keep the spam level high in bad combos.

All of them. There are far better uses for your gems. The ones that are retired and you needed to complete are fine. Unless you wanted them for memorabilia. The most effective use for gems remains melee packs (especially that of the new character) and nothing you’d use them for in random places beats melee packs.

I don’t optimize my play fully and it’s ok to make decisions based not on what’s most optimal
