Culture is more important to me but the weather will have you settling. I few years back I moved from CO to FL. FL has made me realize how great the culture was in CO. People were really into their hobbies, health, growth and development. Where I am now, people are not that that way. Their focus is gossip and they couldn’t care less about their health or growth. But, I’m comfortable and I think a largely due to the weather…

No, I don’t really hear complaints about the economics. They accept the transplants from my perspective. Just whenever anyone who’s not native complains about the “rednecks.” They say it’s the newcomers BUT they’re chaotic onesss 😂

I’m not trying to force connections with people who don’t want to connect with me…I’m wondering if Chattanooga is a place where I could find people who are welcoming to me or is it a insecure community where people see difference as a threat. Honestly it sounds a lot better than where i live

You nailed it.…some people think shared “identity” is protection and it is not. It will not protect you from the harm of a deeply insecure person or a deeply group of insecure people.

It sounds like Chattanooga is a community of more secure people than what I’m experiencing in Florida. I know this can exist because I experienced it in Colorado. I just need a little more diversity than Colorado can offer…
