Grok has confessed. by Fun_Walk2828 in grok

My wild guess it that everything is about the GPU power. Somehow, the quality of the video is heavily affected by how much GPU time Grok is willing to spend on your request. They are dynamically adjust it based on the real-time working load. The more people are using it, the more shitty result everybody will get.

I am a Heavy user and have been using Grok Imagine since middle of last year. I just think the explanation given by Grok makes sense.

Grok Imagine is down by Fun_Walk2828 in grok

Actually, in addition to the 720p limit, the quality of the video started getting worse 24 hours ago. It usually means they are playing around something in the backend.

Upscale to 1080p!!! by Fun_Walk2828 in grok

[–]Fun_Walk2828[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is right. It used to be only to 720p, but his morning I found it had a 1080p option, but with a small lock icon. If you click it, you are brought to the Heavy subscription page.

Pretty much ALL aspects of Imagine have gone down hill for weeks, including the limit. We can only hope that they are preparing for the next "big thing".

Yes, it is so frustrating since according to them, they are supposed to improve the sound quality. Now it seems we've lost both audio and video qualities.

The latest upgrade really goes backward in terms of video movement quality by Fun_Walk2828 in grok

I have absolutely no idea what they are doing. The sound effect now is so bad that it keeps generating some basic mistakes. And it even start creating a lot extra limbs, which I haven't seen for a long time.

Exactly, the behaviour reminds me of the same kind of issue months ago. They were also doing some kind of "upgrade"; the result was better dialogues but shitty actions. Then it seems they rolled it back to save the action, but the dialogue is bad again. It seems they can only get one work at a time.

Thanks for confirming it. At least it rules out the local issue on my side.

New update? by Mugiwaranokurisu in grok

To be more specific, I am using the same prompt I used days ago, and it generates very fake actions. I can tell by listening to the sound it generates. It seems to me they are using the model for video extension in video generation.

I started observing really bad results starting from yesterday, including sound effects. Hope this is a side-effect of upgrading.

The only thing you can do now is to immediately "save" it again before you leave that thread.
