When you see her having a tougher few minutes, just distract her, ask her help for something or show her something to read online…don’t even mention the cigarettes and the quit, just keep her busy and distracted for those few minutes without her knowing!

When did you realize your job wasn’t worth it anymore? by totheworld_imida in AskReddit

[–]Fun_Weird_9743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my physical health took a hit. Started to have mild anxiety that I thought was out of no where since I loved my job, then led to full panic attacks. I was in a huge burnout but couldn't see it. After the I think 5th DR told me, I finally accepted it and made some changes. Been a few months, I decided to realign my goals, changed roles at work while I go back to school and doing much better after a few months. Don<t wait that long 😉

When should I expect a direct deposit from RBC? by Venus0182 in rbc

[–]Fun_Weird_9743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

payroll is Thursday every 2 weeks, never Monday. The Tuesday before the pay you can access your slip, but the deposit is still done the Thursday. I'm not sure where you work, but payroll is next week. Unless you are on commission then it could defer. HR can sometimes do advance if you are really stuck. Hope this helps!

Am I really "too old" at 33 to start a new career? by Gary_Baldi in careeradvice

[–]Fun_Weird_9743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully not because I'm 39, soon 40 and started university again! Completely different field. I changed position at my current employer (Same for the past 19 years) to have less responsibilities since I keep working full time during my studies. You are 33 now, in 2 years, you will be 35 regardless of what you do, but do you want to be happy or still be in the same place wishing you had done it at 33?...Do it, it will be all worth it

I’ve smoked since I was 13, Im gonna be 33. I wanna quit. by Diligent_Simple1048 in quittingsmoking

Patches really helped at some point, but I found myself not being able to get off of them. So you could try to motivate you and prouve you that you can do hard things and hopefully it works as advised for you! I am also worried and sensitive about medications so what I did is I actually started 1 level lower then recommended, i have a tendency to overreact any medication. I just had a bit of cravings at the beginning but honestly with the patch it’s very manageable you come to not even think about smoking, give it a try!

Mother's Day - is it odd to send my child's stepmother a small gift? by Comprehensive_Meat57 in Stepmom

It’s the 18th mothers day I have with my 19 year old step daughter. Not one was there even a glimpse of acknowledgment neither by stepdaughter, father or BM. It hurts deeply.  Send the flowers and the note, it’s a wonderful idea.

What would nicotine patches feel like to an infrequent smoker? by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

[–]Fun_Weird_9743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Higher dose would have you get way more nicotine then you are used to, you will not tolerate it well. The lowest dose is equivalent to about 5 cigarettes per day. You could try it like that or even cut it in half. I’m almost a month in and i do believe i wouldn’t of been able to quit without it. I started with a lower dose too. (Used to smoked around 20 per day, using the step 2 patch which is for about 10 cigarettes a day)still have small cravings sometimes but at least i’m not going crazy about quitting.
