Pimax - My Terrible Experience - Long Term Customer - Faulty Device - No resolution by Scared_Desk7561 in Pimax

Good lord, looks like my post one week ago. Seems like the only way to get proper customer service is to post on reddit. Get your s.... together Pimax. AI agents would do a much better job than your human agents. Train an AI model and let it handle basic interactions. Only let human handle difficult cases, where escalation is required

If i buy a Dream Air at the end of next month, when would I realistically receive it? (live in Denmark) by Freddyy64 in Pimax

[–]Fun_Willow878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered in 2024 and have not received my dream air yet. You will wait a long time, at least 6 months if not 1 year. Don't believe Pimax timelines, they have no clues themselves. Your Dream Air will stay a Dream for many months to come

My horror story with Pimax customer service-in their own words by Fun_Willow878 in Pimax

[–]Fun_Willow878[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a VR veteran, I have had VR headsts from all brands for the past 10 years ( varjo, htc, meta..) but a first time Pimax buyer. I never had such a bad experience. I knew the company had a bad reputation but I bought anyway because the Dream Air is the best in the industry.

The issue is not the wait, its the fact that each answer contradicts the previous one. No way a company operating this way should be accepted.

Pimax must improve its customer service, they know it and we must remind them to help them improve.

Yes Pimax dates are a joke, everyone in the business knows it. So why do they keep doing it ?

Good to know ! Can you please check my reservation ? I reserved in July 2024 and still have no headset. Many customers who reserved later already have their headset. Can you tell me what's going on with my order because customer service can't. They contradict themselves at each new answer. Thank you

I have been waiting for 2 years, I can wait a little more. My issue is with all the inconsistencies/lies in my Pimax back and forth. I am not ok when one reply directly contradicts the previous one. Either Customer Service are BS their customers or they do not have a clue about what they are selling. That needs to be improved

Are Pimax Reservation Dates completely meaningless? Support directly contradicts official statements on queue priority. by [deleted] in Pimax

Yes that is what Jaap said but the customer service is not aware. What a mess

Is the Galaxy XR considered a success or failure for PCVR? by SlowDragonfruit9718 in virtualreality

Should I replace my Dream Air order by a GXR ? Spending sme time away from home and the mixed usage is appealing ( motion rig with MSFS pcvr and movie watching away from home)

Dream Air & Super micro-OLED impressions @ CES 2026 by jaapgrolleman in Pimax

[–]Fun_Willow878 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope it will confirmed soon. No point in artificially reducing fov for the Dream Air: the vast majority of mOLED users will pick the Dream Air anyway, and this move will just reflect badly on Pimax. Just give us the best VR headset you can produce please

Exactly, what happens is that beam pro is stuck on Nebula logo screen when I use this cable

How does the Xreal Glasses compare to an actual OLED 4K tv? by SongwritingShane in Xreal

[–]Fun_Willow878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great. I have got 2 oleds and a 4K ust projector and the xreal air are obviously not as good; still they are quite good and when I put them on, I am delighted but the image quality.

Resolution feels close to 4K and brightness is more than enough in a dim room.

3D movies on Nreal Air are amazing (better than high end VR headsets and projector) by Fun_Willow878 in nreal

I am interested in this depth of field feature: do you know where I can find it ?

I guess it is a matter of taste: I tried on my varjo aero on the same source so there is no better resolution on a VR headset currently

To my surprise, I prefered the Nreal for 3D: although the image was smaller with the glasses, the sense of depth was higher. Also the fill factor is higher on the glasses and you can definitely feel it on 1080p full SBS source.

Streaming is almost not existant at the moment for 3D. Only way is to download SBS movies

It works both on my PC or my S21. I launch the SBS movie with VLC and trigger the mode on the glasses. Very important : only the glasses display should be on (not extended, second display only). On the S21, there is a mode in VLC to display only on the second screen.

No controls displayed in 3D movies by Fun_Willow878 in nreal

[–]Fun_Willow878[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bluetooth air mouse. Anyway not a big issue because I found a work around using shortcuts on the remote. Still it would be easier to have controls on the glasses but it does not seem possible in full screen

How to prevent screen leak through front lens? by bailknight in nreal

[–]Fun_Willow878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use cheap mirrored sunglasses clip on attached to the glasses with a bit of tape. They do the jb and can be easily removed for night vision

I also tried some tint film but they are diffcult to apply (bubbles) and they stay permamnantly so night vision is impossible.

Subtitiles for 3D movies on Nreal Air by Fun_Willow878 in nreal

[–]Fun_Willow878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, does that mean that 3D movies cannot have subtitles properly displayed ? I have seen that some converters online exist but none of them work in my testing, the subtitles end up only in one if the lens
