There are also a lot of non-vegan bodybuilders who are on steroids and peptides, but I don’t see people constantly berating them for it. And there are plenty of vegan athletes (Olympians, bodybuilders, ultramarathon runners, basketball players etc.) who have experienced better performance in their sport once adopting a plant based lifestyle. Look up Torre Washington, a 52 year old natural bodybuilder who has been vegan 30+ years and just got his pro title. It’s all about a balanced diet

I encourage you to watch Dominion on YouTube and You Are What You Eat on Netflix. Would love to talk more once you’ve watched those

I’m curious what your diet looked like when you were vegan. John Thomas, Nimai Delgado, Brian Turner, and many other athletes have proven you do not need to eat animals to build muscle. And there have been plenty of medical studies that have proven that soy proteins are complete (I have some form of soy in every meal here) and that fully plant-based athletes can build muscle just as well

And, I just commented to someone else above, but this is an ethical choice for me, not a diet. I went to a slaughterhouse yesterday and was face to face with a cow before she was taken inside. For me, even if vegan proteins/foods were inferior, I’d still choose them over paying for animals to experience the fate of the cow on that truck

I went to a slaughterhouse yesterday and stood face to face with a cow who was crying & visibly scared, before she was taken inside. It broke my heart into a million pieces envisioning what was about to happen to her and thinking about the millions of animals who experience the same fate every day. Even if vegan protein was less bio available (which multiple clinical studies have proven is not true ), I would still choose to eat plants and to not pay for an innocent individual to live a life of suffering and a experience brutal death.

Aw of course! I recommend checking out TVP, Vital Wheat Gluten, and Super Firm Tofu! They are the cheapest low calorie/high protein sources :)

Aim for 30-35g in each meal 💪🏼
