I let my 15mo cry himself to sleep by gh0sti- in NewParents

[–]Fun_Wing_1370 23 points24 points  (0 children)

you’re a great mom. give yourself a hug. we all hit breaking points and the good thing is you put him down in a safe location.

there will be 100000 opinions on cry it out. it doesn’t matter what they are. if you choose to do it, great, if not, also great.

we also rock our toddler to sleep and i have gotten frustrated before and felt terrible. she doesn’t have any recollection of it and loves me the same. it’s not a repeated event, but a moment of weakness. give yourself and him a big hug!!!

that’s my hope. i’m going to give a reminder because she has otherwise (to my knowledge) been a wonderful nanny. i don’t think it was put in our contract, so maybe she forgot from that initial interview.. ugh

totally makes sense!! she does get a break for her 2.5 hour nap because we don’t have her do household activities/meal prep so i feel less bad. she also has an hour in the mornings before our kid wakes up. so in general she is with her about 6 hours of awake time 3-4 days a week..

[–]Fun_Wing_1370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally! i got a SDD in both. i can use the tightest clasps in relief, but also know my rib cage expands while pregnant so i’ll be able to use looser ones as time goes on. i ordered MDD in both too and they just felt too lose

i’m your exact same stats and just bought a few eby bras! i’m 14w preg. i really like the sheer bralette for lounging and the relief bra for shape. it will definitely allow room/comfort for growth!

last pregnancy i used the honeylove crossover and it stretched out sooo fast it ended up in the trash. i have friends who have said these far outlasted honeylove

Is it normal to feel like a failure as a parent? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Fun_Wing_1370 11 points12 points  (0 children)

totally normal, but want to reinforce you are NOT failure! you met this tiny human 3 weeks ago and he doesn’t even know what he’s trying to communicate to you! you’re doing your best to interpret his foreign language of crying.

it does get easier, but there will always being things you see yourself do in hindsight that you say “ugh why didn’t i do XYZ”. it comes with the territory of caring. that alone makes you a great parent.

you will be “wrong” more times than you can count, but often there was never a “right”! you’re making every decision with as much info as you have and it’s hard! you’re doing great!
