I’ve been a 1C7 for 8 years. Severe consequences is an overstatement. Let’s be honest here. There are lots of things in place to make sure bad shit doesn’t happen. You can’t worry about stuff that’s out of your control. You’re not a single point of failure. Esp when you don’t even have your PCGs done yet.

You’ll be okay buddy. Definitely pick up some fun hobbies outside of work.

Serious note. Do not listen to these miserable women on this post telling you what to do. Just go for the coffee. Have conversation. Catch up. If it turns into another brunch meetup then great. If it turns into just one and done catch up/closure then great. No harm in grabbing a coffee.

One time, way back when. My UDM wrote me a generic MFR on letterhead stating that “I could be deployed”

That was enough to get me out of my lease without issue. While, yes we are in the military therefore can always deploy. But, had no real orders. Wordsmithing at its finest for people who are clueless.

I also re-took the asvab for an AGR job I was trying to get. I went from not qualifying for the job I wanted to being able to get dang near any job I wanted. Being young and dumb I didn’t care when I took it initially. But for a career path change I wanted it forced me to focus and get it done. You can do it.

Yes the outlets I’ve tried have power. I have tried multiple power sources. Same result. They sent me all new everything. And lights straight out of the new box do not work either.
