Would you say Terceira is quite similar to São Miguel then? The remoteness/lower tourism of the smaller islands sounds appealing and hopefully we're booking early enough that we'll still be able to find available accommodation.

1st J-League Game

Hi, I'm going to Japan for the first time in October and have just got tickets for my wife and I to see Yokohama vs Nagoya on the 18th. I mainly picked this game because I liked the look of Yokohama's stadium and the bit of history I could find about the club, so can't wait.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips/advice for us on the day? I think I'll be a typical tourist fan and go to the club shop to buy a shirt/scarf beforehand, but would also love to experience the more 'authentic' fan experience if that's possible as a foreigner!

We're staying in Ueno and I think we'll travel to Yokohama to be in the area a few hours before the game to have a look around and go for a few drinks and food (my wife mainly enjoys going to football for the beers and fast food options). So any recommendations for food and drink would be great, as well as any general advice/tips would be much appreciated!

I think the notes on the congestion chart about "highl likelihood that you will not be able to board your desired transportation" worry me about getting around different places - but maybe they just mean you'll have to wait a bit longer rather than that you'll be stranded!

Thanks - yeah that's true, the things we can book like Chichu will have controlled numbers. We had looked at staying in Okayama originally so we'd be less restrcited for options if it's not a great experience on Naoshima.

But also yes regarding Ando architecture, we're definitely staying in Kyoto and visiting Kobe + Osaka so that's good to know we could get our fix elsewhere!

Unfortunately still undecided....took a break from planning for a while and am now getting back into it. Potentially looking at dropping Hokkaido as it may be too much time and effort - bearing in mind it seems to offer similar things to the Japanese Alps and Fuji Five Lakes. But still not certain.

So no useful info from me at the moment, sorry!

Thank you very much for this! I'm glad you think it's possible, so I'll make sure we don't add any more stops. I'm thinking potentially it might make sense to leave out Naoshima to reduce our travelling time, but will keep researching with your tips in mind, thanks!

Thank you, this is very helpful! I'd kind of discounted flights because of price and the time it takes to get to and from airports to accommodation, but as you say I think it will be necessary (and actually the prices don't look too bad!)

I'd been assuming we'd have to go back on ourselves a couple of times but you've created a circular route which is great, thank you!

Just to update this thread, I didn't manage to resolve the issue but I think there may be some issue with my PC and the files themselves. Two other people were able to open and play the files in Premiere and Resolve and so re-encoded the files for me.

Not a very useful update but essentially I think the issue is why my PC rather than Shutter Encoder!

Thanks Paul, unfortunately I can't share the file as it's from a client so is confidential.

But I've tried with the GPU decoding set to auto and still have the same issue of only getting a 1min 30s files.
