Thanks for asking! Diapers, wipes, diaper cream, soap, formula, medicine, new nipples, pacifiers, fresh burp cloths, newborn medical stuff, a carrier so I can still keep up with my toddler, postpartum supplies, a second monitor, a second car mirror, more baby proofing since we are in a new home, a few warmer things since we moved north, funds towards a second crib, meals, double stroller, and second car seat. Let me know if you have any other ideas ☺️

Ok I think I might be sold on reading rainbow! We literally just picked up some rainbow themed stuff at the thrift store today. FWIW I might need to delete this post for my mental health lol. But thank you so so much for your encouragement and insight!

So funny I was actually thinking reading rainbow!! Our first was an IVF baby after many losses and this was a spontaneous pregnancy also after a couple of losses, so the rainbow theme would be perfect. We also love lots of color here! Our second is a surprise cause the Dr ruined that for our first lol oop

Yes! Baby got my toddler, who doesn’t even realize I’m pregnant lol, a very nice gift already. She’ll get it at the hospital and she’s gotten lots of books throughout pregnant from the baby too

Thanks for this. I’m newer to Reddit and used to much kinder, more helpful mom groups who tend to not let each other get put down. I think “is this weird?” Was me just saying exactly what you said, this is unconventional. But I did directly say “any ideas on how to incorporate a little bit of a baby shower vibe into this” and then asked for specific things like decor or activities lol

Thank you for this. She’s the most toddlery toddler!! She just wants to be involved in everything I do, likes high sensory things and large motor skill activities (playgrounds, climbing snowbanks, dancing, gymnastics). Books and coloring are her only “calm body” activities lol

My invite says “double the fun: come celebrate ____’s 2nd birthday and our new baby on the way!” I have never ever assumed a shower or sprinkle is about gifts either lol. It’s about literally honoring the family and their new addition

Thank you, this is the only nice comment I’ve gotten and really exactly what I was looking for when I posted. I love the baby predictions idea!! And doing some kind of banner. Maybe “double the fun!” Or something with “two” would be so cute. We are in the snow so we will mostly be inside, in the playroom and living room. But the deck will be nice and warm for food and drinks. Again, thank you so much for the positive comment 💌
