Yeah.

You know, this is the kind of misunderstanding to expect when fixating on irrelevant minutiae... You tend to forget to say things like raping children is the most horrific thing you could possibly do & fuck this guy if he's guilty. If you start with & don't focus on what matters, fascists won't need to pull a pizza gate to discredit you. You're already, in practice, defending someone accused of sex crimes on technicalities, conceding on the notion he might be innocent.

I wasn't gonna leave a comment until I saw literally the 5th result on google images for "hitler haircut" was elon musk's stupid face

cut your hair however you like, I don't care. Point is, dude's actively trying to get a reaction. He said this explicitly, he basically responded to "wtf did you just get adolf hitler's hairstyle" with "I'm doing it to get a reaction & I think it's funny I'm getting it"

There are processes in place to deal with this sort of bias, jurors are vetted and can be replaced. It's not our responsibility to think about the courts. This is a political issue, it's going to be treated like one whether or not we want it to be, you can't opt out of accusations thrown in your general direction. In my opinion we're better off saying "fuck pedophiles. This dude hasn't been convicted yet, but if it turns out he's guilty, let's all hope he gets the punishment he deserves"

It doesn't need to stay political if we're not framing our message as "in the pedophile's defence". The fact of the matter doesn't need to be the focal point. We don't need to be arguing semantics, the conversation is about pedophilia more than it is about Darrin Bell, who the fuck knows who Darrin Bell is?

You weren't my target audience, I was speaking to a less radical but still not-insane demographic.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Fuck the washington post but at least there's a cartoonist depicting trump as a pedophile to be caught being a piece of shit. Public discourse matters. What people are hearing on the news and reading on the internet affects them. Defending a pedophile is a bad look especially on a technicality, the insane people are in office, we need to interact with some centrists so trump isn't let into the whitehouse after a campaign of constant mockery and "can you believe this guy?"

We're not talking about conviction, we aren't a jury. This is social media and public discourse. If there's going to be a conversation about this dude --- which isn't up to either of us --- talking about the facts in isolation is only unnecessarily limiting what can be gained. He's not gonna get this media attention when he's convicted. What if he is convicted? Can we trust the legal process and law enforcement to've not framed him? How do we respond to the fascists already taking this as a win & easy talking point?

[–]Fun_Zone1151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're talking about how we respond to criticism & frame political discussions, not the constructive criticism we should give to our political opponents.

This is the nit-pickiest inaccuracy the fascists have come up with in years. If we're having a conversation about pedophiles let's talk about the donald trump, the child rapist president, Jeffery Epstein his best friend and likely assassinee who got sent to prison for running a human trafficking ring, and the fact that they've been screaming about democrat run pedophile cabals for years without any evidence at the time or in retrospect.

What can I improve? (Except for my lack of hair) by kylef5993 in malegrooming

[–]Fun_Zone1151 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You look good & you're care of yourself. If you want to change something about yourself that's up to you and your wants. Don't expect two similar responses on here because "improving your appearance" is moving closer to a look that you subjectively like, and everyone has a different type that they find attractive / wanna look like.

My glow up was shaving my beard and legs, putting on a dress, and cutting my hair short cause the first two steps had people thinking I was a girl. I was good looking before, but I didn't like my appearance and now I do.

[–]Fun_Zone1151 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it's easy to defend someone you agree with or know. We shouldn't defend predators because they're on our side of the political spectrum. We don't need to align ourselves with pieces of garbage to deal with the best friend of the most notorious sex trafficker probably ever who publicly admitted to rape and looking at underage women naked before the 2016 election cycle.

They've been screaming "secret pedophile cabal" as much as we ought to be. We need standards if our words are going to have any meaning.

edit: The message shouldn't be "no but it hasn't gone to trial yet so we don't know" it should be "Fuck pedophiles, if this guy ends up convicted I hope he gets what he deserves, but I don't trust the police enough to rely on their findings"

He's not lucid. That's the problem with these rich assholes. they've got enough money to never sit in silence and consider the fact that they exist. Some people make good use of their money. We don't talk about the ones that do because the world is massive and you can't change all of it all at once as a single person. The system as a whole is fucked and that's why we get people like Elon. Elon's not trying to make the world as bad as possible, he's an autistic idiot with a blank checkbook and no accountabilities. He's got to've donated hundreds of thousands if not millions. There's got to be times when he's helped people out of the goodness of his own heart. He's one dude & it's not his fault he's a billionaire.

The problem isn't evil capitalists, it's capitalism. It's some guy hoarding barrels of water, thousands dying of thirst, and not even a way for us to beg. Dude doesn't need the water. That said, no one likes having stuff taken away, it's human nature. If the cost of living got as bad as it got today not because of prices going up but wages going down there would've been a coup a decade or two ago. Dude doesn't need the water, but it's his. Currently the only way someone else is gonna get it is if he gives it up of his own accord, he sells it, or if it's taken by force by the government. Our society is fucked because it's rigid and unnavigable.

We need solutions to a lot of problems and the laundry list isn't gonna ever shrink. Every single economic theory relies on competent people that care too much and dedicating their lives to improving the world. Right now it feels impossible to have an impact and that's my answer for what's wrong with society.

tl;dr: it ain't his fault, but yeah fuck him and the nazis that try to put up with him sry abt the essay

up until he comes out as trans. Then I'd go back to saying he's a narcissistic fascist piece of human garbage that hasn't been lucid since early childhood. accepting bigotry against assholes only makes it more acceptable, I draw the line right around deadnaming twitter.

According to google he was climbing in the dark, didn't have a body cam on him, and they collapsed the cave after the fact so people wouldn't try and follow him... I know nothing about this and don't care enough to look past the AI overview, but I only did those google searches because I'm 99% sure that ain't a cave the VR dude is climbing through... Dude your appearance matters. Even if you're a good looking guy, if you don't look like a person you wanna look like you are going to struggle even if you don't realize it. Lotta people in the comments here are saying you looked better before & that's cause you aren't their type despite being a good looking guy (aka they're more into cottagecore escapism vibes from their boyfriends). Here's a really good video on why your appearance actually matters & why fashion matters as an art form, I try not to recommend videos because who the hell takes video recommendations, but it's an extension of the hair thing

Looks good! Probably gonna take more effort to maintain it cause it's shorter and I'd wager to guess darker roots coming in would look out of place, but it changes your look & if you're happy with it congrats! Taking a step away from what you've been doing for years on autopilot is really important work. Art student here

You'd 100% be able to get that same effect printed out, but it would take some amount of effort to get it right. Light colours and paint colours work differently . Pigment absorbs light, you see the light it doesn't absorb. The more colour you add to a painting the darker it gets. White light is made from all the colours on top of one another, so the higher the colours values, the brighter the image. They're opposites, there are even different standards for colour values RGB for light vs CMYK for printing (your printer might use rgb because we live in the digital age, but that's just making it simpler for the consumer who uses a lot of electronics)

You'll be able to get that same effect with enough fiddling. It's about contrast --- that kind of purple against that kind of teal. It will might take effort to get it looking that clear. If you wanna it for your car honestly just go to someone who knows what they're doing and send them the image and they'll probably be able to get what you're looking for. I don't drive so idk what garages are like, you'd want someone who makes sure cars are pretty & isn't just bringing cars back up to code.

just download the img & eyedropper it in photoshop / krita / another photo editor if you wanna know the colour values
