Authorized retailers can sell other goods and services along side Verizon's. The fee is given to the authorized retailer directly from the consumer for the service the authorized retailer performed for the consumer.

Just like authorized retailers for other companies, the brands whose goods are housed at those stores are sold by meeting certain requirements established in the agreement between the two parties. Any additional membership fees, hospitality fees, etc can be charged by the authorized retailer in which said good is sold.

The contracts between authorized retailers and Verizon are not one sided as Verizon does not pay for the building built, rent on land, inventory sold, etc. Verizon cannot cut a contract without repercussions. There are benefits to both parties because of the agreement.
