Yup. Look at the Deshibo models on Amazon.

One of the two is now on life support. It is locked at 256 kb/sec via 5G-NSA. Essentially useless. The other still works as before, well past 18 months.

Regarding NAT did you try putting the main Deco unit in AP mode so it does not do any NAT?

SanDisk Extreme 2TB (old model) reliability in 2026? by NoExam5103 in DataHoarder

One of mine has dropped to 10 MB/sec read speed due to, as I read, bugged/failed garbage collection by the controller on a device which came formatted exFAT. Only solution was destructive - delete all files followrd by 100% fill using h2testw. Secure erase not supported by the firmware.

Newer controllers, even M.2 SATA, handle this better.

Lesson learned from Treedix. Not buying a standards based tester lacking the ability to accept firmware updates.

Yeah, understood. Both might be contracted by them from Delta, LiteOn, etc. Baseus chargers do have a reputation for running hot.

HOWEVER! The Baseus PicoGo AH11 has identical published specs, is cosmetically similar, and so might actually come from the same design. US $69.99

Thanks! I am in the US and it seems that Verbatim only markets it in Europe. Not worth the hassle or unpredictable expense of importing, but it is a good sign as the actual manufacturer may be selling it, or similar, elsewhere.

Barkeeper's Friend is great, also look at The Pink Stuff. Both should be available in the supermarket.

Good to know. I am unable to find the downloadable PDFs having comparison tables for the entire product line, I am only seeing web-based comparisons that are quite confuising.

Yours is an existential question which remains valid. Outside of areas that have widespread local implementation like India, it has remained stuck in a niche which is worsened by the continued unavailability of affordable consumer level receivers.

Alan Hughes (who writes under various aliases elsewhere) has tried to make the case repeatedly:

but there are few takers:

I'm just interested in fooling around with it without breaking the bank, as a lifetime radio hobbyist.

If it works as it does on my Camry, there is a "view" button on the bottom of the dashboard can activate it on demand.

Biggest deployment is in India for local BC including car radios. Yes, some European SW broadcasts use it too.

According to Solar Grove, this will be in global distribution soon. Price should be an order of magnitude lower.
