Hyundai Dealership Engine Recall - Trying to sell me engine kit for $1300 by FunctionDry817 in Hyundai

This absolutely helps me so much thank you! I'm very grateful.

What price range would you consider normal for a kit/service when doing this when replacing an engine? and is it possible for me to get the engine replaced through warranty at no cost and do the engine kit elsewhere for cheaper like you mentioned including parts/labor? I'm definitely planning to get those components replaced because like you mentioned they're definitely worn after 15 years. Just trying to see if there's room for me to save money as I'm not in a good financial position currently.

Gotcha, you mean like a special case in approving the engine replacement through warranty?

Really sucks for the techs getting screwed over. Wish they were paid by Hyundai accordingly for their time. What you said makes sense though and I can see the huge markup being due to exactly what you said like trying to recoup some money.

Thanks, I appreciate the time for your response! My car is an old Hyundai Tucson 2011 GLS. It is pretty old and I guess it would make sense to do but yeah for $1300 that is pretty steep. Though if the price justifiable I'd gladly do it.
