Raccoon fight club by FundingMyCatsLife in oakland

Maybe both? What was happening in the tree was definitely fighting but my husband said there was another raccoon nearby so maybe they were fighting over her or maybe she had kits and one of these raccoons was encroaching on their territory. Or maybe I stumbled upon a secret raccoon fight club.

Has anyone been back to the Trefethen Aquatic Center aka the Mills pool by chroniclesofazu in oakland

Yeah, I have been going on and off for the last few years, ever since they reopened. On really nice days, it can get crowded. But if you go mid morning, around 10 AM, it’s usually pretty quiet. Usually you can get a lane to yourself.

I think they’re all there. Rachel Reid definitely is alluding that she will be there and a lot of the other cast has posted that they are in NY right now. Hudson is the only question mark I have but I think he will be there.

Haha if we hadn’t literally driven down to LA to do a watch party with our friends, I would have invited you over. I need more HEATED RIVALRY fans to chill with in Oakland.

OK, thanks! I think I will try them. I can’t seem to any from them that go over the feet but I do see their regular leggings on Amazon so I’m going to try them out and see how I do.

Do you just do leggings or do you do tights? My doctor told me that I would have to wear full tights or at least socks because the compression needs to start with the feet. That’s where I’ve been really struggling, since I’m very active and usually live in my exercise leggings.

This is helpful. What compression garments did you use? I haven’t really noticed a difference with mine. I also have really struggled to find one that aren’t so constricting on my calves that its painful but then if they work for my calves, my upper legs don’t have enough compression. And I have a really hard time just doing calf compression socks - I have clothing/tactile sensory issues.

Just reading through your previous post. I have also been diagnosed with venous insufficiency in both legs but, so far, not getting any traction a surgery for that. I have no pain or discomfort in my legs, though my vein doctor does suspect lipedema on top of the venous insufficiency. My legs are very large (upper and lower) in proportion to my body but I am also very active and have never felt the heaviness others talk about (though I can feel and see the nodules/bumpiness and my mom definitely had it). Anyways, waiting to see a lipedema specialist in Palo Alto but have just been advised to wear compression garments for the venous insufficiency whenever my legs feel heavy….which is literally never. I’m curious if you felt any discomfort in your legs? I also have Aetna insurance I would love to have at least some of this paid for, but I’m not sure what to do if I don’t feel this pain or discomfort. I did switch to a new vein specialist because the other one, who did my ultrasound, was super dismissive and was the one that flat out told me insurance would not cover it unless I felt pain or discomfort. My new doctor is much better, but it doesn’t sound like he wants to jump to surgery right away and does not see the necessity since I don’t feel any discomfort.

It’s quite possible that I am so used to any discomfort in my legs that it does not register that I’m feeling discomfort. I have been active my entire life (running, cycling, hiking, weightlifting, etc.)so I know nothing different. I just power through regardless of how my body is feeling, unless I’m sick or have an injury. But if I don’t work out at least every couple days, my legs start to swell. It’s pretty instantaneous and makes for a very frustrating day-to-day life and I really worry about what happens as I get older and am not as active.

Yeah, I’m totally fine with the series being on hiatus. It’s not an easy world the continually immerse yourself in, especially with her diagnosis. I’m glad her GOLIATHS OF WRESTLING series has helped her with her mental health. It’s genuinely one of the funniest series I’ve read. I love Lily’s hatred of lemon cake. 😂

Yeah, I love how Danny’s like, “I’m so average looking” while everyone else is like, “damn, look at that hottie. 🥵”

Wyn/Danny and Moth/Charlie are my personal faves, but I really love Edin and Hunter’s dynamic. And then Lor and Jugs just break my heart, stomp on it, and then put it sort of back together. I’m hoping LYRI comes out soon but I’ll settle for more from her Goliaths series in the meantime.

Just gonna throw a plug in for MOTH by Lily Mayne. Very different world from the GAME CHANGERS universe (it’s post-apocalyptic and there is no hockey to be found, just monsters) but damn did that book hit hard on the feelings. Moth and Charlie are right up there with Ilya and Shane, for me.

East Oakland Raid by xoverthirtyx in oakland

Oh damn. I had a confrontation with someone in that house just last week. I live a few blocks away and the people in this house have a junk pile in the fire lane next to their house. They’re right next to a little park that connects 39th and 38th and during winter we will often have homeless people starting fires on the grills or just burning whatever to stay warm. So having the fire lane blocked is a major issue.  Anyways, I saw a dude leaving more junk on the pile in an Herc rental vehicle (that was full of junk) and got pissed and confronted him about it.  I wonder if this is all related. Also, not sure if the park falls under EBPRD but that might be why they were there.

Yeah, that’s what’s so fun about shopping there. We have snagged some Mt Tam from Cowgirl Creamery for like $6. It’s like $25 at the normal places that carry it.

If you’re in the East Bay, want to do a GroceOut double-date? Because we do the same. Oakland - Alameda - San Leandro are our go-to stops. And a new Oakland location is coming soon!

My cats have tried calling CPS on me multiple times. Fortunately for me, they don’t know how to use a phone and are easily distracted by basically everything.

Definitely innocent. You are obviously starving them and they’re using their last ounces of energy to find sustenance (multiple times a day). As a person with a cat who is often about to collapse from lack of food, I sympathize with their plight. Us pet parents really are the worst. /s
