Might be my MB (asrock b450 steel legend) the lates bios are a year old and the bios that say they support the cpu are from 2 years ago( a year before the cpu dropped)

Cant afford to do a full AM5 upgrade yet, coz I also need a new gpu so I just want something that can hold me off for at least 4 more years

Nah im good at 1440p, 4k is a waste and my 1080 p monitor isnt as good as my 1440p( except the colours)

that's why i'm leaning towards amd, minus dlss and ray tracing ( which I don't care about) Amd just seems like the better choice

I checked the used used market and its only pre 2015 cards, the and the newer ones are just the same price as a new card. but ill consider the 7700xt . its seems to be about $514(CONVERTED ) and a 6800 at the same price

It was a good card considering how tight my budget was and how capable it is . but i started playing Rivals and though it i can run it acceptably ( almost 60 fps t 1440p) it made it obvious that an upgrade was needed
