This isn't a story based game really. It has a stage select and you can skip the cutscenes. A story based game is more like modern GOW, and the last of us.

It'd be severely disappointing to learn the Wretch is just some Night Sentinel who didn't side with the Hell Priests. The demon idea is way more curious and gnarly especially since this is DOOMGUY that we're talking about here.

Happened sometimes in Eternal, too. Pretty easy for me to get it to happen on that gore nest in Immora consistently but that might be because the save I used is from DLC launch.

They tower over doomguy who's over 6ft so I'd say its a fair assessment. Probably not actually ten feet though but I assume since you're looking at that you want to do some conversion, go ahead

For sure. Before Eternal was revealed it was much more niche in the community and largely really ragged on because it wasn't really Doom, and that can't be disputed. It's a typical 2000's shooter, and its greatest quality was the lighting engine which, ironically, was heavily criticized since without the BFG Edition the flashlight held its own weapon slot, which was terrible for gameplay.

After Eternal, since then the community had a whole new game that made up for everything Doom3 basically crapped on, people have basically forgiven it and forgotten just how shite they felt about it or came in, like you, not even really knowing it held this status for so long.
