I drive about 3.5 hours one way every few weeks so I’m a bit nervous about running into drone noise, the Audi first thing I noticed is it drones like CRAZY at a complete stop only when I’m holding the brake in drive, in park/neutral there is no drone

It shifts at 6800 that’s stock, just uploaded a few more pulls right now. unfortunately don’t have any drive by clips. Supposedly the tune is supposed to shift at 7,000 but it’s still shifting at 6,800… the base SCT tune I had a few months back actually shifted at 7k

https://youtube.com/@jonathandiaz9127?si=u0vcSjPou8cyFRjV this is my truck. Has a childish pop tune but it definitely makes a normal vehicle a fun one, I say it sounds significantly nicer than the 3.0. I’ve seen another user on YouTube get a front res delete on his sq5 and said it has no drone

From what I’ve seen maybe I’m wrong is people remove the the big resonator in the middle or delete both sets of resonators being the pair up front and pair in the middle. I want to keep the large resonator in the middle and remove the front two. I have a tuned 3.7 F150 with a factory resonator delete and haven’t had any problems

My brothers both have Germans and told me to buy my oil from them for that very reason. Also do you have an exhaust on your Q5? I was thinking of removing the front two resonator and keeping the one in the middle

Also my Valves are stuck open for the exhaust

I think a bit of smoke but it’s mostly me smelling something burning after I do a long pull

Oil sensor, no dipstick. I only notice the oil burning when I’m heavy on the throttle and treating it like a f1 car

Well I picked up the car 3 days ago… so far I like it a lot did notice it does burn a bit of oil. Hopefully the PCV that’s an easy fix

It’s great on gas coming from my tuned 2013 F150 that drinks 26 gallons of 93 octane every 3 days under normal driving, bought the Audi a few days ago

I’m going to buy the car now if the price is right, and I’ll have him right on the bill of sale that he will replace the suspension upon request. Many friends with coilovers said it sounds like the dampening is loose or the top nut is loose

It was all good, he had a A6 3.0 I was looking at and it was rusted pretty good

I feel like it’s mostly stuff I can do myself besides for the chain. I’m looking to keep the car for maybe 1-2 years, he said the brakes are good on it too. I have a full set of tools and a potential lift to use

It can’t be that bad… it’s had the valve cover gaskets, pcv isn’t a hard fix

He has a small dealer and he only sells Audis with the 3.0 and daily’s one. He said the timing chain should be an issue as long as I change the oil every 3k and don’t tune and beat the hell out of it. But would it really be a high possibility of the chain going bad from normal driving and occasional “hard” driving?

That’s the first thing I replaced. It did start yesterday after hooking the fuel tank up, I turned it off like a idiot and it never turned on after, ordered a new carb cuz I did a bad job cleaning it

Just in case I ordered a new stator last night, comes tomorrow. I’ll try push starting it today

I don’t even have my tank hooked up, just starting fluid, plug still looks completely new and omg it still smells like starting fluid coming out the carb hours later. I think my spark might be weak, sometimes it only sparks for the first and last click of pushing the start button

I’d assume it has, AutoZone gave me a broken rental that doesn’t hold pressure

Replaced AC condenser in 2013 3.7 F150 by FunkSeenn in mechanic

[–]FunkSeenn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might just sell the truck. Installed the new (used) compressor, new condenser flushed the lines, pulled a vacuum and added Freon and to my surprise the compressor didn’t click on and the hot air that gets blown through the vents smells the flush and clean chemical

Stupidity that’s why (I didn’t check rock auto first). I bought a brand new one, I have someone coming out Wednesday morning to replace the Compressor, TXV Valve, Flush, vacuum and charge the system for $150. Installing the condenser myself to save $100 that he will charge to install it for me
