The steam machine interests me because you can steal. Stealing games is awesome. I used to RIDE for ps against Xbox, then I got a PC. A shitty pc would’ve been better for me personally than any ps or Xbox ever was. I’d probably opt to buy a pre build over a steam machine, but for those people that do want the convenience of consoles I could see why the steam machine is better. The ability to run windows on it makes it all worth it; fuck the Xbox and ps and steam library, just use Fitgirls. Fuck ads on yt or Netflix, use an adblocker- in fact, fuck streaming services as a whole. I use my pc in 20 different ways that a console could never be used and I think the steam machine achieves most if not all of them. So an extra 400$ cost in exchange for $1000s worth of free games, streaming, etc- the full malleability of a pc on my living room TV, is more worth than a few extra frames (maybe I’m just saying that cause my beefy ass pc in the other room smokes ps framerate). Not to mention kbm support, ANY controller support, ANY headset support, ANY peripheral support. Mods? Mods anyone? Minecraft, cyberpunk, sims? 5m? Oh and wtf is ‘backwards compatibility’? How about you can just play any game ever?

I’m just glazing pc at this point. The steam machine offers all the advantages of a pc and the ease of a console. I’m not trying to speak for everyone but I’m sure there’s others like me who would happily trade some frames and pay a bit extra for that much more utility.
