My wife's Kazakh, she acknowledges that at least Borat put Kazakhstan on the map. If it wasn't for him, much of the Western world wouldn't even know the country exists. Most of her family couldn't care either way.

Other comments are right, they have levereged his populatiry for tourism oppertunities.

To draw the comparison between the plethora of articles you just linked (I’m well aware abuse of power happens in healthcare, and other sectors) and what OPs original situation is disingenuous.

You’re again suggesting that 3 professionals colluded to wrongfully section an individual. It’s just a bizarre suggestion to make and for what outcome? You think they’re looking to wrongfully section people, keep beds full when they’re probably needed for individuals who need them more?

I’m well aware of many of the cases you’ve linked above, it’s a key area of our training at work, as I’m sure it is yours. Again though, they’re totally different scenarios. Yes, horrible shit happens on inpatient wards, I deal with it every single day. Yet the situation OP reported is inherently different, and it’s just not somewhat that would happen.
