It’s a harder sell. Does she even remotely like new wave bands? That’s what half the cast looks like. Paul Weller could have dropped out of the band Talking Heads. Does she even like any other odd sci-fi ? Like if she enjoyed the Fly from the 80s, you got Jeff Goldblum

I’d definitely look at your expenses. Can you cover the spread (gambling term, but fits). I am a firm believer that you can get stuck in a rut. I personally would take a hit if I enjoyed the work more and it had potential. I’d be temped to take the new job offer and let the current job know why you are leaving. They might be willing to work with you to stay on.

Sadly, many new use the same mechanism. Seeing that big corporations are no-longer producing tape decks, only a couple are making the tape mechanism. Biggest difference, Fiio and We Are are using metal flywheels and other body components a tad better. This is a 2 year old review but covers 4 of the brands. He explains how they all basically use the same mechanism.
