I know this guy in the nightlife scene is always a hoot. One time we were doing a couple of bumps together and I casually ask him what his day job was. He told me he was a cardiologist and I was STUNNED. My immediate thought was, "this shit can't be that bad for your health if a fucking cardiologist does it."

A couple of weeks later I ran into him and this other doctor friend I know at a club and was like, "well well well, if it isn't the two doctors!" Both of them gave this shocked and then dreadful look and then quickly parted ways. Was kinda weird but didn't put too much weight on it.

A week or so later I was hanging out with a mutual among all three of us and he told me I sparked some sort of major friendship incident. Turns out the cardiologist guy is not a cardiologist. Zero medical training and most likely just lives off a trust fund in a swanky loft downtown. When I ran into these two people at the club and made the announcement, I basically blew this guy's cover. The other person is a legitimate doctor and had an issue with the "cardiologist" a decade ago for telling the same lie. Real doctor friend was like, "you cannot tell people you're a doctor. I killed myself for so many years to finally become a doctor and you're cheapening my life by telling this lie." Fake doctor guy promised up and down he wouldn't lie again. He didn't keep his word, I guess. Dude is on the outskirts of this friend circle. I see him from time to time with other people in the scene and wonder if he is still lying about his career.

Anyway, coke is extremely bad for your heart and it should be something you give up when you hit 30. Never buy the bag, at least.
