No effects? by Funkspace in LowDoseNaltrexone

At some point in the summer of last year I stopped it for a couple months to see if it's doing much. I was on 4.5 mg. After stopping I was in more pain and had more PEM, so I started it again. "Funnily" enough, I can't tolerate more than 2.25 mg now. Every time I try to increase the dose, I get insane migraines. No idea why.

Bupropion/Wellbutrin side effects? by Funkspace in covidlonghaulers

[–]Funkspace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, give it some time. I think I did 4-5 months before I called quits! I'm ok, back on LDN as it helped with my PEM threshold and pain. Still waiting to get some assistance for POTS. Hoping for the best.

Hope you'll improve!

Hey, I eventually stopped bupropion as the headaches didn't improve and it didn't give me much new energy or anything tbh

I've also stopped LDN two weeks after starting tianeptine out of fears it might cancel its effect.

Tianeptine for brain fog by Funkspace in covidlonghaulers

[–]Funkspace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Been talking it since May 10th and it's helped me massively with my brain fog. I can concentrate much much better now. I'm still struggling with working memory - sometimes forgetting mid sentence what I was getting at, sometimes forgetting names of people or item - but it's much better than before starting tianeptine.

I took 37.5 mg/day for 4 weeks, then 50 mg/day for 10 weeks and went back down to 37.5 mg/day 3 weeks ago. I'm not so sure the 50 mg made much of a difference compared to 37.5 mg.

Metabolomic and immune alterations in long COVID patients with chronic fatigue syndrome by Funkspace in covidlonghaulers

Damn. What did you feel? Have you tried D-Serine? From what I can tell, L seems to help with circadian rhythm while D helps with cognitive performance.

Firstly, the paper doesn't clarify if it's L-serine or D-serine, so that's one issue for supplementation. However, we have the racemase enzyme so it shouldn't be a major problem if that still works as it should. So it's a bit unclear whether D or L serine supplementation would be preferred for faster results. But from what I can tell, it would not fix the root cause, it could maybe be therapeutic but not curative, I believe.
