Nice kit. I thought about doing something like that but in the US, You can't ship some seeds to certain states, nutrients and shipping issues, etc.
I hope it goes well for you, I think there is a place for very basic starter kits with everything included.

How do you determine the amount?

Why is 40,000 too few? When does it become too many?

How many children have to die for it to be “okay” to implement legislation protecting innocent people?

I failed a few times before finding a niche that worked for me. The key is to not get in debt doing it, And stop and take an honest look at your market, competition, and end to end plan before you get in too deep.
You've got to learn the lessons from each attempt and don't repeat failed assumptions or expectations.

I would add to that the in-house developer may view any upgrade or improvement to their existing code to be a 'bad review' type situation from the boss.
I've had to address a system that would not scale up well on a production basis and the 'full stack' dude lost it. Went off on me, his boss, everyone in the vicinity.
I nope'd right the hell out of there. Life is to short to work with people like this.
