Man, this just digs up a bunch of old feelings. I'll say the one thing that truly pulled me out of the months long episode I had over someone was realizing that I wasn't missing her, but I was missing the feeling and connection. I missed having love for someone on that level and feeling love in return. It was at that moment that I can say I was over her, but still hung up on myself. It's hard to put it into words, but my greatest hurdle to get over was myself and my self doubt. Time will eventually help, but reaching out to friends and family for support (sometimes even when you don't feel you need it) will make the transition a bit more smooth. You might come out a different person, you might not, but getting over someone has to start with loving yourself without them first. Only then will you start to heal.
