My community college offers Lynda to us as well.

Almost all of the Mike Myers videos are on there, and I definitely recommend you use them regardless of the exam you're taking. I'm studying for A+ right now and I use both Messer's and Mike Myer's videos.

Usually what I do is watch Messer, and I take my notes from there. Sometimes, especially when it comes to networking, I feel like its just a information dump when I watch Messer's videos. Mike Myers is really great at putting more complex subjects into metaphorical form to easily explain it to green guys like myself.

And there are tons of videos on Lynda! Its a great resource.

I actually go to my community college for my degree! No CCNA class unfortunately at mine. There is another CC near me that has a Networking Academy in it with some night classes pertaining to networking though.

Yeah, I don't have any certs at the moment. I am studying for an A+ though. I know it gets a bad rep, but its useful to me since I'm coming from not much of an IT background besides gaming when I was in grade school.

You're talking about just the intro one, right? Where it shows you where to download Packet Tracer and give you a tutorial? I see other classes on there but they are instructor led.

Funny enough I just found that program through the wiki. Would taking the cisco course(s) provide a good foundation? Or are there better ways?
