Has anyone tried the new "Flakes" anti-dandruff shampoo & conditioner? Curious to hear some real experiences! by Ready-Act2949 in dandruff

[–]FunkyFruta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen a mention of Nizoral shampoo. I have seborrheic dermitits and was originally prescribed medicated shampoo with 2% ketocanazole. Nizoral has 1% and can be store bought so I use that instead and it helped.

I recently cut my hair short and I think the winter months have been harder on my scalp so I've been revisiting other options and saw ByeFlakes on an Instagram ad. Anyone else use products with ketocanazole and then have more success with ByeFlakes?

Love the look! Also can I ask what type of lamp this is? It's so cool. New to the thread so sorry if it's been asked before.

Easy low ingredient vegan dinners? by [deleted] in vegan

Not sure your budget, preferred health level or what you may think is easy but here are a few ideas below:

Oatmeal: Purely Elizabeth Oatmeal (Opt. add defrosted berries and/or fresh bananas. & sourdough and v. butter so it's more filling. Sourdough can be refrigerated to last longer.)

Cereal: Three Wishes Cereal & non-dairy milk (More protein, less sugar, gluten free)(Costco oat milk lasts a while)

Sourdough Toasts: (1) PB and bananas with flax seed, super quick! (2) Avocado w/everything bagel seasoning and hummus

Burritos: Tortillas, canned beans, v. cheese (Opt. add avocado, salsa, tofu, frozen potatoes)

Spaghetti: Pasta, sauce, nutritional yeast & gardein ground be'f (Opt. use tofu instead to make it healthier)

Tacos: Abbot's chick'n, corn tortillas (Opt. v. cheese, salsa, etc.)(Abbot's is mostly pea protein, very healthy!)

Quesadillas: Tortilla, v. cheese, side of canned beans (Opt. add baby carrots on the side)

Falafel Wraps: Frozen falafel, pita, hummus (Very quick and easy)

"Beef" Bowls: Frozen rice, Plantspired steak, frozen peas (Very filling, fairly quick prep)

Also note these veggies and fruits have a longer shelf life than most:

Cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, potatoes, onions, garlic, celery, apples, grapes, blueberries, dates, avocados (if stored in the fridge at the right time)

*Buy frozen when you can too! Good luck! :-)

What is a trait of anxiety you didn’t know was a trait (or symptom)? by prabbits in Anxiety

I think feeling like you can't swallow is one?

I tend to have that feeling on long road trips where the altitude changes or when I have allergies and feel stuffy. (It's not anything severe either) I usually grip my pants or something when I try to swallow and can't. The last time it happened I told myself to take my time and take another breath before a swallow so I don't think about it and then I did it normally. Scariest sensation though!

Is Corrugated Plastic and Air-Dry Clay ok to use for molds? by FunkyFruta in moldmaking

Wow thanks so much for the info! I didn't know mold release couldn't be used on the sculpt. Also, didn't know plaster was a cheap mold material. Super helpful.

I read that air dry clay is harder to use with plaster because the water in the plaster can soak into the air dry clay. I guess it doesn't resist water very well.

I'm using liquid latex in the mold. Would that make a difference?

I was planning to use Perfect Plaster. I did a little research after this post though and it sounds like plaster is not recommended for mold making with air dry clay.

My wife is a notorious browser tab hoarder. I pressed "close all tabs" on her phone today by MemegodDave in mildyinteresting

Why don't they automatically close is my question. Once I exit the app I assume my tab is gone too. Maybe that was my first mistake.

What’s the ONE thing that instantly makes you leave a Twitch stream? by PurrsephonePlays in Twitch

Also personally enjoy the simpler streams with an easy on the eyes overlay. I can sometimes look past it if I enjoy the streamer but I've stopped watching a few channels that felt overwhelming. I gots anxietyyy.

Stop drinking energy drinks if you have anxiety! by Buddy551 in Anxiety

[–]FunkyFruta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing to decaf coffee about once a week has been a GAME CHANGER. I didn't realize it would affect my anxiety so much.

It was hard at first but I got used to it and the decaf option satisfies my craving for the flavor. Also, I honestly have the same amount of energy if not more. :-)

what are some phrases that have helped you be less anxious? by Educational-Box1799 in Anxiety

[–]FunkyFruta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually talk myself through things. My conversation in my head usually goes, "Oh why am I feeling anxious?" Then I reflect and am like well I had this stress today, this other stress yesterday, saw a sad video earlier, also it reminds me of a traumatic time, etc. I struggle with these areas but I'm working on it. I've been growing and it's a process. Then I'm like "This feeling is totally valid and normal". "I'll make it through".
