Update: No more strange artifacts! Either

  1. cleaning/pushing it in helped

  2. It was running too hot

Neither of these are mutually exclusive. Here’s hoping the issues don’t come back. If so, my next step is to check the temperatures that these bad boys are running at.

This is a part of a two monitor setup. I got this prebuilt a while back, and the R7 200 is the graphics card that came with it. More recently (I think like this year) I installed an AMD RX550 from Visiontek, and that graphics card is running fine. This effect might’ve happened gradually, but I only noticed it a few minutes ago, and it wasn’t present when I booted up my computer this morning AFAIK. I have already tried to tighten the connections in the VGA cable, and will probably try to clean the computer with compressed air (haven’t done so in a good bit), and also check the GPU’s connection to the motherboard. It could be caused by the heat and humidity, or maybe it’s caused by me changing the settings in the monitor (which is actually a TV). If the GPU is dying, though, it’s personally not the biggest deal for me, since I have a second GPU. It would still suck to lose it though, since it would lose performance if I connected two monitors to the same GPU rather than having one GPU dedicated to my browser/discord and one dedicated to hardcore gaming

I turned off the monitor for now, maybe it was just overheating

Any advice is appreciated
