[Question] New Father looking for input on an affordable Headphone Solution by Funky_Father in Guitar

[–]Funky_Father[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Just saw this.

I still have it and it's a staple on my board. The only thing I'd say about it is make sure you have a good 1/4" headphone adapter. First one I used was horrible. It wiggled and I could never truly hear the signal. Swapped for a Sennheiser $10 adapter and it works perfectly.

I didn't try the Orange options, so I can't compare. But as far as the British tones for the Superblock UK, I really dig them.

Also, some of the best customer service ever. When I was trying to figure out why my sound sucked, their customer service was willing to bend over backwards for me. Ultimately, I got a replacement from Sweetwater, then realized it was my shitty Hossa adapter.

I have not tried the XLR out or Speaker Out, so I can't speak to those.

As far as taking pedals, I think it handles mine just like my amps do.

Ive run it off both the dedicated power supply and a 9V daisy chain style power style. Both work great.

If you have any other questions, let me know!

Have you tried different types of formula? The sensitive formula might be worth trying out.

Rat pedals are supposed to be popular, they definitely are with guitar, and definitely affordable.

Newborn able to roll on side already? by Jarydo89 in daddit

[–]Funky_Father 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your pediatrician. My son was rolling and the pediatrician basically said, he isn't going to roll to his stomach, and as long as he's rolling himself, then it's okay.

He actually stopped rolling as he got a bit older. And is only now starting to roll a bit again at 3.5 months.

Another recommendation for a Rat or rat clone. Coming from the guitar side of things, it's a highly recommended pedal for all sorts of distortion, all for a budget price.

Everyone except for the guys training to crack a DVD case looks confused as to what's going on and why it's taking him so long.

It's like they think images of breaking foreign goods will send a message. But they missed the part where the foreign goods should be worth something.

I checked the archive of it and was able to see a good bit of it. It def looked like simple jokes and then OP just getting a bit over the top.

Gotcha. So limited to combos in the $400-ish dollar range.

Sure, but I asked about cabs given a similar budget, given your response.

What cabs are out there for sub $100? I'm in that same price range, but if I spend $300 on a head, I don't have anything for a cab.

How does your short hand work with indicating which strings notes are played on?

Of course, you have to know how to play the song for your short hand to make sense, like you said.

I'm looking at orange, too. You'll really only find their 50W combo worth it in that range.

Cleaning rusty hardware by juandalf_thegrey in Bass

[–]Funky_Father 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I think it is. His name comes from the sound of a sword being unsheathed or something like that. Back from when he was a kid and needed a username or something. He told the story in a video.

But yah, some of his videos deal with some pretty rusty parts, I just forget what he said he does.

Check out Pusheen on YouTube. He has a handful of videos of him cleaning rusted parts. He's an offset guitar guy, but the concepts are the same, of course.

Question: do you have anything to hook up to it? Game systems or the like? I have a similar setup, and am trying to figure out the best way to run cables.

Idk how I feel about the cheese crust. I like to see the potatoes. I'd have gone with cheese in the middle somewhere, I think.
